Mafia fiction, especially that of the era from which Fallout draws its inspiration has always interested me. Mafia II, for example, was a great classically inspired Mafia videogame, and while one could play the part of a Mafioso in Fallout 2, it was at the very most a bit disappointing. So my question is, with the Fallout series expanding as it is and developers' interest in expanding genres (Fallout Resource War, Fallout iPhone, etc) would you be interested in playing a less rpg-centric New Reno title? How would you like to see such a game in its fruition?

I would. Although I don't think it should be a main title.

Maybe an Expansion.

I don't think any main game of the series should drift away from the RPG in the core of the games.
