Would you play a revamped Morrowind?

alot of Elder scrolls fans have a soft spot for Morrowind, It was the first one I played, and I just thought maybe bethesda should seriously consider doing an anniversay edition of Morrowind, beefing up the graphics and fighting, and having the NPC's talk for themselves instead of us having to read text, (Not that I minded the text) also I would hope they would leave out fast travel and leave in the teleporting and of course levatation.

It would be nice if we could all find a way to start a campaign to get bethesdae to realize that yes people do want this.

anyway I just wanted to put that out there.

Perhaps they are saving it for the Elder scrolls online? Would be nice to visit the old country though...

No. Just, no.

I'd rather them pour their resources into making a new game than re-releasing an old game with better graphics. To re-release Morrowind would basically be them saying they just want our money.

What's with all these "Re-release Morrowind!" threads, anyway? DId they start after Micro$oft decided to re-release Halo with better graphics?

People play a revamped Morrowind all the time. It's called using Morrowind Graphics Extender and Morrowind Overhaul: Sound and Graphics.

I'd rather see a revamped Oblivion and a revamped Skyrim.

Of course, that ignores all the Console Gamers.

Which also ignores that Morrowind can be run on pretty much any out-of-the-box computer that was released in the last 6 years or so.

The only thing really keeping anyone from playing Morrowind on a platform that makes bug fixes and other alterations possible is an aversion to the platform itself. There's no benefit to the console version.

Well, they've shown that their intentions for the design of their current/future games are just getting worse and worse. They will probably never make anything as good or better than Morrowind ever again. So if they just continually "updated" just that game, without changing much about the content, I'd like that. But it probably also means they probably would either not care to work on Morrowind ever again, or if they did they would probably screw it up. So yeah, I'd prefer if they just leave it alone. I also think they should stop making TES games.

I never want a Morrowind remake. It's a horrible idea, because Bethesda would change and ruin much of the world regardless. MGSO gives you all the eyecandy you need, and vanilla still conveys dark tones of mystery that when combined with the soundtrack, manage to enduce chills within me to this day.
