Would you resort to cannibalism to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland?

I would, but then again I would also join Talon Company out of pure fanaticism of it's business strategy and ideals. So perhaps I don't represent "morality" well.

No. It's damn sick, and I wouldn't want to have shakes either.

I wouldn't. Too greasy. Gotta watch out for that kind of unhealthy food.

Yeah, whatever condiments or seasonings you'd be able to find in the atomic wasteland

Yes. It's called survival. I'm a vegetarian, but if I'm lost in the woods and starving to death, I wouldn't hesitate to tackle a deer and rips its throat out with my teeth... I mean, I wouldn't kill anyone just to eat them, but if somebody dies and I have nothing to eat? Free meal.

^^Probably be like that video - When Animals Attack! I would not want to tackle a 150pd deer and try to kill it with my bare teeth. LOL, probably just end up missing a couple teeth when it kicks the crap out of you! Without weapons, humans are lousy predators.

 I guess you have never been hunting or gutted a dear....btw you'll need all your skills maxed out for that endeavor.

^^Neither gutting or shooting a dear is that difficult. Bagged one my first time out. Just patience. Now if you are using a bow and arrow - that takes some skill. But not shotguns.

But if you are using your teeth - that realy takes some skill!

I would if food supply is scarce, or I was into some tribal believes.

Now the problem is Ghoul and Super Mutant......

I think if the time came around to it, nearly everyone would. Just like if you ask people if they would every drink there own urine, they would most likely say no. but throw them out into a desert for a day with no water, they'll love the stuff :)

I'm a chef, and the only thing I have to say is: It's all in the spices and preparation.

I would probably end up being the one that's eaten; not the other way around.
Still though, I would much rather die without having other humans in my digestive system if given the choice. I don't think human flesh is a great alternative to bacon.

I think an equally important question is: would you kill someone for the purpose of eating them?

Depends on my situation, but generally: eating a human is not healthy, only very limited parts can actually be eaten without almost killing yourself. So I would probably just stay alive in another way, or die away. :unsure2:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuru_(disease)

That being said, post apocalyptic life expectancy would likely be less than 30 years so I would if there were absolutely no other food sources available and I survived long enough to find a substantial "replacement food source" other than dirt, bark, grass, etc.

Starvation death -vs- kuru/cjd/tse?

When starving to death and switched over to survival mode, all that matters is making it through the "here and now". Thinking about 10, 20, 30 years from now, disease, morality, nutrition, & guilt won't even register until you've recovered from survival mode - which would probably be never since it is post apocalyptia. I suspect untreated PTSD from day-to-day exposure to the post apocalyptic world would be much more likely to mess you up physically and psychologically before any guilt/depression/medical symptoms from cannibalism set in.

But this is all speculation, of course. Let's hope none of us or our future generations are put in this situation to find out.

Can we make an agreement :deal: in case of food crisis, I have the first dip?
