After that, to survive in Skyrim... You have to work your ass off. Sure, you could join a guild, but they're going to send you on quests that you probably truthfully couldn't survive. You could try earning your gold in the Arena, but every fight there is a fight to the death. You better know what you're doing. You could work in a tavern, maybe. How boring would that be, though? Spend your days working in a tavern, never knowing what psycho is going to walk through the door and decide he wants to slay everyone because some Daedra lord made him do it. You could be a farmer.. On someone else's farm, because where are you going to get the gold to buy your own farm? You could be a woodcutter or a hunter. Have to get up before the crack of dawn to start work, or hunting, work until the sun goes down, and your back home, exhausted, and lucky if a log didn't fall on you or some animal didn't chew your arm off. And mentioning going home... What will you be able to afford living in? Probably a tiny shack like the one on the Imperial City waterfront, if that. So you have a one room shack, with crappy furniture. You have to cook for yourself, clean for yourself, go out and bathe in the lake or river where a mudcrab or slaughterfish might attack you. Chop your own wood and build your own fires to keep your house warm. Etc, etc.
And then there's the chance, a pretty good chance, that a dragon will come along and burn your shack to the ground and eat you.
Just sounds like a lot of work for very little payout, other than living in a place that has magic and mythical creatures (which can kill you). I think I'll stick to living in Skyrim through my PC.
