Would you want to exist in Skyrim?

I have to think about this seriously. No reload if you screw up, no cheat codes, no god mode. Hmm.

After that, to survive in Skyrim... You have to work your ass off. Sure, you could join a guild, but they're going to send you on quests that you probably truthfully couldn't survive. You could try earning your gold in the Arena, but every fight there is a fight to the death. You better know what you're doing. You could work in a tavern, maybe. How boring would that be, though? Spend your days working in a tavern, never knowing what psycho is going to walk through the door and decide he wants to slay everyone because some Daedra lord made him do it. You could be a farmer.. On someone else's farm, because where are you going to get the gold to buy your own farm? You could be a woodcutter or a hunter. Have to get up before the crack of dawn to start work, or hunting, work until the sun goes down, and your back home, exhausted, and lucky if a log didn't fall on you or some animal didn't chew your arm off. And mentioning going home... What will you be able to afford living in? Probably a tiny shack like the one on the Imperial City waterfront, if that. So you have a one room shack, with crappy furniture. You have to cook for yourself, clean for yourself, go out and bathe in the lake or river where a mudcrab or slaughterfish might attack you. Chop your own wood and build your own fires to keep your house warm. Etc, etc.

And then there's the chance, a pretty good chance, that a dragon will come along and burn your shack to the ground and eat you.

Just sounds like a lot of work for very little payout, other than living in a place that has magic and mythical creatures (which can kill you). I think I'll stick to living in Skyrim through my PC.

As it were, I would love to have the... option to live in Skyrim, knowing that I could snap my fingers and return to our world when a necromancer pops out of a tomb and summons undead around me.

I would be screwed since I cant snap my fingers :cryvaultboy:

Skyrim has no computers. I'd last about 2 minutes.

A world w/o debt and bills- yeah, I'll take Skyrim any day. At least there you have to stress out over legit worries- bandits, dragons, mudcrabs.

Wouldn't there be taxes to the local Jarl? What about payments for protection from those bandits you mentioned? And I'm talking about the seedier kind of protection. There were bills and debts even in the year 500 BC. Think about how bad it got during the Middle Ages where you not only owed the lord coin, but your very life. I'll take my student debt over that any day.

I've always wanted to live in a world where I could use magic for real. However I voted o for two reasons:

1) I'm a wimp and am scared I'd get myself killed.

2) I don't wanna leave my friends and family.

Have you ever wanted to live in a world of magic and wonder... where mythical creatures walk in the daylight, where magic exists in a tangible form, where you could decide your physiology, race, and potentially become anything you want in a time where legends are not born but are made?

This would not be playing the game... it would cease to become a game and be your new reality. If you could exchange one existence for another, where the Skyrim world would be as real as this world is to us, would you make the switch? Knowing that if you died in Skyrim it would be as sure a death as it would be for you now. Is the lure of the sword, of magic, of discovery... worth the price you would have to pay?

Isn't the lore of the elder scrolls inconsistent with permanent death.

I... Yes, I would. Skyrim (Tamriel in general, really) is such an amazing place, full of strange, wonderful (and yes, dangerous things too, I admit), and fascinating things. Plus, I think I'd fit in more, like I belong there. And no more mounds of paperwork just to get a job or something of that nature. And as for the difficulties and dangers, well, there are difficulties and dangers in this world too, of varying degrees.

So yes, I would go. And I wouldn't look back.

People would often mistake me for a wood-elf way to often "i'm 4.10", plus with the whole Dragons, Were-wolves, Were-boars, Were-sharks, Were-bears, Vampire's, random insane elf that want's to kill you, Darkbrother hood and many more danger's it would be a very short life....
