Would You Want More Races?

Please post any specific race you would like in Tes 5.

Mine is the Sload.

No...I wouldnt mind seeing more races in the game (aka rare NPCs or other non-tamriel races)...but not have them playable.

I'd hate to see more races just because it would give the false impression of diversity. A level 17 Redguard Whatever Class is just the same as a level 17 Woodelf Whatever Class.

Beth should have as priority fixing at least the way they have racial attribute "boni". Awful....

The amount of races in tes is fine, theres many, but I want a bit more variation between races. Abilities, looks, skills, stats, etc.

I rather see more diversity and lore applied to the existing races such as race specific clothes, armor and weaponry for all.

As others have mentioned I want to see the races we have now, more fleshed out.

I wouldn't mind seeing some "new" races as NPC's though. But if they did that I can see the complaint threads now...
"y even put them n the game if we cant play as them. Wtf bethesda?" /sigh

I agree that the current races should be still be explored and bettered but once they have done that I think they should add 1 or 2 new races.

I honestly think that there is no need for more races that are playable. Honestly, if you really needed a certain race to be playable, the modding community is the place that makes everything possible. What I would like is for the playable races to be more fleshed out, like, if you went to places with a major demographic of one race over another, the place would reflect parts of the cultures there. And, we need a bit of greater skill diversity amongst the races, like Argonians are obviously going to have better Athletics than others because of the fact they are strong swimmers, and there should also be some skills that Argonians and Khajiit get with their tails, obviously because they can be useful. It could be combined with another skill, maybe. Argonians get a boost to their swimming and maybe H2H because of the tails. Why H2H? Because they could give a tail smack, like an Iguana, so Argonians get better H2H. I'm not sure what Khajiit get, just because I haven't really studied them at all. Maybe they could use it for balancing if that ever becomes a trainable skill?

No.
As others have said, I'd just like to have more diversity.
Also, I don't get why everyone wants a Sload? First of all, they're extremely ugly, second of all I presume they would be forbidden to enter Tamriel, as the Imperial Navy has sunk the island of Thras before, third of all, despite being extremely intelligent and ridiculously good climbers, the Sload lack any basic life skills, slow moving, large possibility of collapsing under their own weight and can't use tools or weapons very well.

Basically what everyone else says. No new playable, but new NPC races.

No, because they haven't really explored all of the existing races so far.

Aye. Remove the bogus "attribute bonus" which is really just an "attribute headstart."

If Nords are supposed to be stronger than Bosmer, that means a Nord should be able to attain a higher maximum strength than a Bosmer, period.

This ain't rocket science, and heaven forbid it might make playing a given race mean something besides "what will you look like when you reach the same generic master-of-all-trades maximum as every other character in the game?"

And then, once the existing races actually mean something- there are already plenty of them.

I wouldn't mind that, even if it was just like Cows and all.
But races just need to be tweaked, if they were to add more it would go against the lore of TES

Like others have suggested, I'd like the same ten races but with more diversity between them. There should be tangible benefits and drawbacks from playing each race. They should be just as pronounced at level 50 as they are at level 1.

I'd even like to see some areas of the game inaccessible or much harder to complete as certain races, forcing you to either be really skillful or play the game more than once to see it all. For instance, maybe some quest givers are racist or sixist, and without a high enough personality or a bribe they wouldn't even talk to your character.

I want to find out that there are some remaining Kothringi or see one of the Akavir races.

I want to see mixed races, Falmer, other elven folk, variants of Khajiit and Argonians, other beast races of Valenwood, Akaviri races like Tsaesci; Tang Mo; Ka Po' Tun; and Kamal, and the Sload, but that doesn't mean I necessarily want them to be playable. Nor does it mean that I want them all, I just want them there where they fit in. Although for the computer version I would want the little button that says playable/non-playable to be in the construction set so I can play one with a mod after I beat it.

they can actually move quite quickly as they are presumably capable of casting multiple 'marks' at once. they'd basically be massive damage sponges that shoot magic.

While I am curious as to what certain races look like (in particular the Lilmothiit, Kamal and the Tsaesci) I would rather see the existing races fleshed out more than have new ones in the next Elder Scrolls. I'd be especially happy to see the various forms of Khajiit, though I don't ever expect that to happen unless we get a game set in Elsweyr.

No more nothing, there is enough. Now if they'd only be able make them accually different from eachother, it would be great. Then if they work on it enough, they might realize they've got more ideas and then be able to make more races.

I mean argonians should be quicker in water than other races, and khajiit faster on land than any other race. Orcs should be strongerst of them all, etc.

They mainly move by teleportation. I don't think playing as a Sload could possibly work, because a sload would see no reason to save anyone. Sloads have no emotions and only ever do things if they benefit them personally. I doubt there is any personal reward large enough to convince a Sload to become a hero of Tamriel and follow up on countless quests.

If Bethesda would recreate the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Falmer (although they might be extinct) and made them to look like http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/images/303243-1291609528.jpg; I know what I'd be playing :D

(thanks to arnoldvsthegooch for the image on TES Nexus)

Otherwise I'll be playing my trusty Nord; Rothgar Storm-Bringer

I think there is enough races. It would be nice to be able to play the Dwarves, or what ever they were called, name eludes me at the moment. So I voted no, no new races. We have what 7 or 8, I think that is enough. Adding more, I wouldn't care for unless it was like the Druegh or something, that is already in TES lore but nothing new, out of the blue.

As for the 2nd question, not sure what it is suppose to mean. If we have 8 now, then of course I want to see all 8 in the game. I do not want to see a missing race that was playable or in the game before.
