Would you want to see a video on the work flow at Bethesda?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 5:07 pm

I for one would love to see a video similar to the one on the concept art but with the creation of a game asset or a creature. I mean I know the creation of a creature would weeks to finalize but some companies expect workers to create 3 or 4 game assets a day so that is not to far fetched.

What do you think and what would you like to see?

My primary reason for asking this is that I would eventually like to make game assets and things like that and seeing a video on how my favorite game compony dose it would be like finding a bucket of gold under a rainbow or like digging up a dinosaur or like sending a rocket into space and stuff.

a game asset is anything from a cup to a building or in other words every thing in a video game!

If I could choose I would want to see the creation of a set of armor.

Yes. I loved the concept art vid, and I'd love to see them continue with that. BioWare has been doing something very similar for Star Wars: The Old Republic, where they are showing the process, concept art to finished in-game assets. It would be highly interesting.

I'd love to see a video of the world designers. We could probably extract far more info than they intend us to from something like that.

Honestly, I'd rather learn ABOUT the game, not about how they made the game in the hub. I wish they would just save that stuff for the blog. It's interesting, but I really don't care about it. I mean, I'd watch it, but I'm not disappointed without it.

If it's a case of having it or not having it. Sure, I'll certainly watch it.

Of course. I dig that sort of stuff. I'd love to just see their organizational chart. But I am probably a rare bird because I just like learning about different business structures and such. Most find such things rather boring.

That would be interesting seeing how they develop at least one particular dungeon or cave. Maybe in August or September if we ask nicely and not send the Devs 1 million Adoring Fan photos.

Nothing is good enough for some people, unless its screenshots or videos. I personally would love to know more about their organization as well. I'd like to know how many artists they have working and how exactly it all works there.

I would like to see how their meetings go with character design and story board.

Also their thought process and how they decide what they want to do and how.

I want to know how they mostly come up with ideas. From something off the top of their head, or do they first go and read some books and just get some ideas from that. Wether most of their ideas are from research or just daydreaming/brainstorming.

Also if people are just welcome to show their ideas and wether thedifferent teams in different areas meet up with each other to convey their ideas better and have them blend well?

BLAH BLAH BLAH that kind of junk.
