Only Full-Moon thanks. Otherwise the novelty wears off and it becomes quite tedious, leading to you seeking a cure pretty quickly.

Full moon only. I sort of wish that'd you'd sort of "lose" control as a werewolf. As in you'd automatically "gravitate" towards people and tear them to shreds if you're not careful. This way you are likely to harm somebody more important than a bandit

Full moon only most definitely. It got really old turning every night in Bloodmoon, though from what I understand Daggerfall had a pretty good werewolf/boar system.

If.... If it initially happened on it's own, and with dangerous reflexes and or a lack of self control that could get you in trouble, or have you kill bystanders... Later (ala... learn by doing :P), let the PC gradually gain the ability to suppress the wolf's violent urges, perhaps when a master at it, simply to have full control of the change at will, and not normally have difficulty controlling the urge to attack.

A werewolf PC shouldn't like handling silver weapons I'd think; but it depends on the mythology I guess.

I'd prefer being able to change at will, perhaps having finishing a werewolf quest line to gain mastery of it. Changing every night would get very old quite quickly and only once a month isn't often enough, imo. So it would be nice to learn how to change at will after a while, thus deciding when you want to play as human/whatever or werewolf. Could also mean you get to then change during the day to help out in tough combat situations or whatever. ^_^

Changing at will seems a bit overpowered, and not very lore-friendly at all.

This. It would be nice to eventually either cure it or learn to control it. As long as it is only at night when you can transform once you mastered your curse. That would be awesome if the Smarter Bandits thread a few days back also came to fruition as well. You get ambushed right at sunset and 5 bandits are flanking you. You bide your time, hoping to survive just a few more minutes. As you back into a wall they close in, when the last ray of the sun fades from view and you just won the battle. Except none of them know it yet.

It be very neat indeed, if the game supported the player option to infect a victim, and see them succumb to the lycanthrope curse. See them out hunting a few weeks later, and acting furtive and odd during the day, and with behavior & schedule changes. Imagine if that were worked in to the main and several side quests as an anticipated player option.

**Then of course... there's the old, "What happens when a vampire gets bit by a werewolf ~or bites one?".

I chose Fullmoon Only because of the other things I would want to have happen as a result.

1) Fast Travel should be disabled during the transformation period requiring you live through the night and all of its horrible consequences. It is a CURSE after all, you shouldb't be able to whisk the time away to overcome that.
2) The "Wait" menu should be deactivated during the transformation period. (Same reasons as above).
3) The werewolf is required to kill at least 5 liviing creatures each transformation period and eat part of them. (Hey, YOU wanted to be a werewolf, live with the results!)
4) The werewolf is required to make whatever living creature he sees one of the 5 required kills, meaning if he accidentally sees a woman walking in the woods, once he spots the woman his quest window updates. So even if you wanted to only kill wild animals, just spotting a living creature forces you to make them an active quest. So if you value human life, stay away from towns when the Full Moon is coming.
5) If all 5 kills are not completed during that night cycle, the player must have all of their stats reduced by 5 until the next Full Moon.
6) If the werewolf fails to complete 3 cycles in a row, he dies.
7) The werewolf should be required to howl at least 3 times in the night. This howl will extend outward for one km in all directions, meaning if there is a town nearby, all the guards will hear it. They will send for a Bounty Hunter or Tracker, and put an active "Hunting Quest" using Radiant Story to go find and kill you. The Hunter automatically knows your location and will be able to find you, so if you howl near a town, you will have an encounter of possibly 3-5 male warriors and trappers.
8) While you are a werewolf, all kills are assigned to the werewolf identity but NO ONE (not even psychic guards) knows you are a werewolf by default. So all of your kills don't affect your standard PC side.
9) If you are caught by a Trapper, and revert the next day in capture, then that Trapper knows your identity. If he leaves to "Go Report Your Identity" to the Guards, who will then know your identity, you will have a mini-game opportunity to escape, and your strength is still slightly stronger than usual.
10) If you escape and kill the Trapper before he gets to town (you can follow his tracks up to 2 days after you were in werewolf form) then your secret is safe.
11) If you secret is revealed, all the Guards in every town will know you who are. This is not good.
12) If your secret is revealed, you can go to a werewolf safe house somewhere in the hills where a man will help you (for a huge sum of money) buy a new identity. You will have to do some favors, and you will have to help furnish the house in the hills with food, supplies, etc... for the next werewolf in trouble. Once you do all of that first, he will provide you a new identity. Now your secret is restored because no one knows who you are, although there is a 10% chance a guard you approach within 20 feet will just recognize you from the wanted posters from before. But if you want a total fix, you can pay a mage to alter your face permanently. It's expensive.
13) Following a sense of promoting morality in regards to lycanthropy when discussing the aspect of the children in this game, when in werewolf form, ALL children will cease to exist (Radiant Story will automatically turn them OFF during this time) so that you can't automatically stumble across them (they are immune from this situation, so don't even THINK about it) ....

All in all, I'd say that just about does it, for making the situation play out as it should in these regards. Thanks!

It does indeed. I'll even settle for a "don't care" option in the first set and corresponding "I said I don't care" in the second since they reflect my view more accurately. (But if the poll creator doesn't mind the bias, I don't really mind lying and voting "no." )

Mh, have to say I quite like those ideas! Changing once a month would be fine if it went with those requirements. ^_^

As long as Hircine's Ring is in the game. In Morrowind/Bloodmoon and Oblivion, being a Vampire or Werewolf was not a alternative play style, it was just something you tried out and then reloaded or sought out the cure quest.

It would be cool if as a werewolf you were presented with new quests from Hircine and eventually you can be cured and transform at any time (or maybe only at night).
