It wouldn't be so bad...

First off, I love this game...when I'm able to play it. The whole 30 minutes before it freezes my ps3. I've beaten the game twice (barely because of the horrible lag) and can say gameplay wise it is a very good game. But the glitches are absolutely horrible. I have played a lot of games in my life and I have never, ever encountered a game with this many bugs. ED-E shooting everyone in Primm's casino for no reason...losing ED-E altogether. Losing good armor because your companion can't wear it. VATS not working (of course until the battle's over, then it works fine). General quest bugs. Poor companion AI during battles. Really, Boone is gonna go up and hand-to-hand a deathclaw? Sigh. But it wouldn't be near so bad if Bethesda/Obsidian would at least keep us better informed of any new patches coming out, other than the general "we are working on it" stuff we always hear. What are you working on? Are you testing it? Have you gotten that far? Are you waiting for Sony approval? Any kind of time frame? A few weeks could mean like 10 or so. Never, ever, gonna reserve another game from these guys.

They have kept us updated, but how much information can they give about the patch except "we're working on it" if not for the problems with the second PC patch they'd likely have already released the second one for the consoles.

I haven't worked in programming but I have done tech support for computers. And when someone asks how much longer my common response is.
"If I knew how much longer that mean I knew what the problem was and If I knew what the problem was I'd be done by now"

I completely understand that. all i'm asking is if they are even doing that, or if they are done with it and are awaiting sony's approval or anything. we've been kept in the dark ever since the 1st patch came out. that's all. i've seen numerous other companies keep the fans satisfied by giving out a simple update on how things are progressing. week after week with no info makes some gamers lose faith.

I'm unsure what you mean by this, the problems are more than well documented on this forum, repeatedly.

The Dev's know the problems, I can't believe they never found the bugs players are experiencing before releasing it. I hate to be all negative about this game as I have enjoyed and hated it in equal amounts depending on how many freezes/glitches I've had in the last session played. I agree with DragoNate, "We're working to fix x, y and z with the forthcoming patch" or "We're hoping to address all the major issues" would be preferable to "we're working on it" but I guess that would tie them to delivering on the promise, we're working on it gets them off the hook if/when the patch falls short of peoples expectations.
