I know a kid that could tell you in five seconds what day of the week it would be on 11/11/11 twenty years ago... Autistic Rainman.
It could be any date any time and he gets it right every single time.

I'm very strongly considering taking a personal day from work to go to the midnight release. My only holdup is that it would be difficult to justify to my high school students as to why I was not there on Friday. A few of the students know that I'm a huge Elder Scrolls fan and they've asked me if I'll be at school on Friday, November 11.

My school district is dumb and wont let high schools get the day off :cryvaultboy: We didn't have the day off for Columbus day either.

ahaa that svcks we have off. gonna be stockin up on mountain dew and random assortments of energy giving substances for the 14 hours after midnight where i will be playing

Like everyone else in the world I can't wait for Skyrim. I just was looking at the calendar and noticed Skyrim is released on a Friday. This is
Huge for me. I hate that game release on tuseday. Midnight release then work and no play time. Now I am even more excited I get to go to
the midnight release then get to play for a few days straight. I can't believe this entire time I didn't know this. Please anyone else that had this
moment please share. Am I the only one?

I really thought I'd have to wait for Friday to get in some real play time. Not now, gonna have a solid two days at least.

Why does Bethesda aloud to do this. Is there a reason games only release on tuesday? Also is there a special reason for 11/11/11?

Dude it is awesome that is get released on a Friday but that means 12:00 friday morning for the midnight release, therefore meaning you may still have work that day before you get to play it! I have the same problem with school so I'm gonna fake a sicky

Awesome. I'll play Skyrim all morning and afternoon, then head into the office at around 4 PM to meet up with people and go the pub.

Yeah I figured this weeks ago, which I am glad for. It's one week after my finals, so no distractions there. Not to mention the fact I can just blaze through it absolute silence and solitude since most of the day, everyone is gone from home during the weekend.

Oh yea friday! I never have school friday, going to wake up and
A.) Wait for my mom to come home from work so I can borrow the car and go to Gamestop
B.) Wake up early and wait for Fedex, or whatever other service to deliver the game.

I am hoping that my moms credit card will work in Amazon (Did not work in Netflix, its a Pay N Go card) So I just give her the money and she orders it

4 day weekend of none stop playing Skyrim, with the occasional eating/restroom/parent calling me breaks.

Thinking of it, Wow! This semester is going by so fast!

Nope. Now that I know it's Friday I can take it off. Friday is no big deal. Tuesday is usually not a good day. I just can't believe we all have 2 or even 3 days to play. What an awesome thing.

Nope. Checking the calendar was pretty much the first thing I did when the release date was announced

They chose 11.11.11 just 'cause it's a cool date. It being a Friday is completely coincidental.

In the UK, i've never seen a game released that's not on Friday, they do it so people that work hard all week can have all weekend and friday night to play (they trust that there are no social interactions on that weekend).

I took the day off from work, so I'll be able to play Skyrim non-stop from Friday morning aalll the way to Tuesday evening. ^-^ Life is good!

I dreamed it was 11/11/11 last night: I got the game, took it home, opened the case to install it and saw there was only 1 dvd (cuz in my dream Skyrim had 2 dvds) and it was the second one. I was pissed because I couldn't install it but I also couldn't go back to the store to have it fixed. Everyone around me was playing Skyrim and I couldn't. I was so sad. XD
Funny enough, before that dream I had a nightmare about Amnesia... strangely though the Skyrim dream was much more terrifying because I couldn't play the game.

Do you not have to work on Friday op? You'll have the midnight release on thursday night, go to work in the morning a few hours later, then get home and be tired!

I don't understand the fuss, in Europe almost all games are released on a Friday, but ok folks, I'm happy for you.... :biggrin: :foodndrink:

But Christmas day is a Sunday this year ... :glare:

Uni doesn't get Vet's Day off. That's ok though, we get a three week winter hiatus. Will play Skyrim like crazy for all three weeks. :hubbahubba:
