Wow, what an incredibly descriptive post. You really should try sentences, they're not all that difficult to write, mate. ;)

Seriously, what's the issue?

The bug where he remains hostile. What's funny is that my first time going through the Prophets quest, I never had any problems. Then this time around, he stays hostile after being made a thrall.

I should have known something was fishy when I first removed the magic barrier - Dexion just stood there and never attacked, yet he was showing up as hostile. Then after being made a thrall, he still remains "hostile" (though he's still never actually aggressive). Serana kept after him as he was on his way out of the cave, I had to beat and fus-ro-dah her to get her to stop.

I make it back to Volkihar.. all the vampires are attacking a non-aggressive, "hostile" Dexion. Reloaded to outside entrance. Entered again. Vampires still attacking Dexion.

Reloaded to inside whatever cave Dexion is found in. Did the whole thing with Dexion again. Time and time again he keeps coming up as hostile.

I've reloaded to just before starting Prophets. Hopefully this is a fix. Because I'm all out of options and I don't know what the hell is wrong.

Aw, I was gonna make you guess ;)

The only thing you can really do is reload to before starting Prophet, or just before you enter the cave. When you enter a "cell", everything is set at that time, which is why you have to reload outside of it.

Yay, I knew you could do complete sentences! (I'm just poking a little fun, poke back if you want, but there's no malice intended, friend. :) )

I know of a fix, but are you on PC?

Got this bug myself this time. Luckily i play on PC, so i prevented him from attacking me by adding him to my faction, and then when everyone was beating him up at Dawnguard castle the tcai command took care of that (toggles NPCs' combat AI processing off). It was quite funny though, everyone always beating him up :lmao:

Reloaded prior to entering Forebearer's Redoubt, and that fixed it for me.

(No I'm 360, but thanks anyways)

I've heard problems with Dexion on both sides. You could be Dawnguard or Volkihar, and still have problems with him being hostile.

I would save before entering Forebear's Redoubt just in case anything happens.

Yeah Dexion was heavily glitched for me this afternoon...
When I went to get him, he wasn't inside the magical barrier - he was over in the corner of the cave just standing there.
Then when I got back to the Dawnguard he was getting the shreddies kicked out of him by everyone.
As usual the UESP Wiki had the solution for PC players (setav aggression 0) which makes him the same mild-mannered Moth I remember from my first Dawnguard playthrough!
Not a good sign though, when (months later) it doesn't work as well as it did before.
