Wrye Bash error upon launch

Post » Sun Apr 10, 2011 4:48 pm

Edit 1: Entirely my bad :( A few months away and I forget forum etiquette. (and common sense, lol). Off to the main thread...

I'm doing a clean install, and after a few initial problems, I went back and double-checked everything. Seems I had accidentally installed 2 versions of the Python files for Wrye :facepalm: Python25 is the self-installer on TESN, while Python26 collectively represents the individual items linked in the Wrye Bash thread; http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1084996-relz-wrye-bash-thread-%2338/ So far as I can tell, the individual links are newer than the installer files. So I got rid of everything (add/remove programs), and reinstalled the 3 apps. Upon executing Wrye Bash Launcher, I get this;

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Big Games\Oblivion\Mopy\basher.py", line 3712, in RefreshData
bosh.modInfos.rescanMergeable(scanList,progress)
File "C:\Big Games\Oblivion\Mopy\bosh.py", line 8055, in rescanMergeable
canMerge = PatchFile.modIsMergeable(modInfo) == True
File "C:\Big Games\Oblivion\Mopy\bosh.py", line 13704, in modIsMergeable
if 'NoMerge' in modInfos[GPath(modInfo.name.s)].getBashTags(): reasons += "\n. Has 'NoMerge' tag."
File "C:\Big Games\Oblivion\Mopy\bosh.py", line 7288, in getBashTags
tags = self.getRow().get('bashTags')
AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'get'

In addition, the mod list shows Oblivion.esm [SI] highlighted completely purple :unsure: There's just an entire bar of purple across that line. I have never experienced a single bug related to Wrye or it's various setup files, so I'm at a loss here. Any help is much appreciated.

Dude, the Wrye Bash thread is on the first page of this forum, and these errors have been the subject of the last couple of pages....

Gods, Immortal, sorry to point out, but the Wrye bash tread is just under yours.
I have same problem and asked there... if you check the dedicated Wrye Bash tread we could figure this out together...

EDIT: I see Tomlong beats me, this cancels my telling-you-off because no crime should be punished twice :D
