Any chance of having the option to knockout that 'Modified dates have been reset for some mod files:' box?
Wouldn't be hard to do, but I avoided doing it because I feel that it's much better that the user have a warning that dates have been updated. And you can quickly hit return to make it go away, hence it really shouldn't be an issue. I.e. it's a mild annoyance, but one that provides an important warning, and hence should be left in place.
No, my point is that they no longer do - I used to get the functionality before, but when I click on TES4View, I can edit files, and the same for TES4Trans. It's not like it was before, when it just launched TES4View with the -edit and -trans parameters (or whatever they were). Something's not working for me anymore.
Originally the exe was named Tes4View.exe. To get alternate modes you could copy/paste the exe under different names (Tes4Edit.exe and Tes4Trans.exe, I think), OR you could use the -edit or -translate command line switches. When Elminster renamed the exe, he kept that code, but it continues to ONLY work if the name of the exe is Tes4View.exe. Hence updating the default name to Tes4Edit.exe just causes it to always open in edit mode. Options:
1) Get Elminster to support alternate modes.
2) Just discard View and Translate icons/modes (which aren't really necessary) and only support Tes4Edit. This is probably the way to go.
