[RELZ] Wrye Bash -- Thread No. 41

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:06 am

You lost me a bit. There's an Add and remove button if you turn off automatic in the levelled list section.

Other than that, the automatic function, or relev or delev should take care of all Levelled list functions. Are you going for some other function?

Yes. There used to been and "Add" tag that could be recognized as well, and I do not remember the explanation for its removal. For example, KDCircletsOOOptimized is the only mod I have to manually add. It would be nicer if Bash automatically picked up on an "Add" tag so that that would not be necessary. I know you can manually add plugins to that section.

That's weird. As far as I can recall, the automatic function is supposed to pick up any mods that add to the levelled lists regardless of tags. I don't know if they show in the Levelled list section, but the items they add are supposed to get integrated into the bashed patch.

I know you're away from your computer, have you had the opportunity to test it in TES4Edit and confirm that the items aren't getting included?

No, but I will have someone turn it on at home this weekend. I was wondering if that was the case, but it slipped my mind while dealing with BAIN and other Wrye Bash updates.

Thanks for the replies!

I just installed KDCircletsOOOptimized, ran boss, and it was automatically added to the leveled list.

Beautiful! I will update my bashed patch pages then.

Thank you!

In the Wrye Bash documentation, where it talks about dependencies, I don't see any reference to PIL. Wyre Python seems to install it: "PIL 1.1.6 (images)". Is this an actual dependency, or is it no longer used?

The documentation says this:

? PIL 1.1.6

? PIL (Python Imaging Library) is currently required, but may be used by later versions of Wrye Bash. (It's useful for manipulating screenshots, etc.)

I'm fairly certain it meant to say "is NOT currently required".

Just reinstalled my mods, run BOSS, rverything seems to Sort allright, But none of the Green ones are grtting marked Mergable,...
The NoMerge are working, there all set to Auto, tried restarting WryeBash, updateing BOSS, restarting PC,...
Ok, (I don't see it in the Masterlist,) it shows in the Mod description, but not the tag list...

**Dooh! I guess that's normal, I thought they got a Tag for that, I was looking for a particular mod to merge and not seeing it, but it was allready checked...

Plugins with green text are mergeable, hence the green... Could you be a little more clear with your punctuation? At least, clarify that last part.

I don't believe it ever was used - just something that fit into Wrye's future plans I'm guessing... fixing the documentation where Showler mentions, thanks.
@@Brozly: The merge tag did use to exist, but got removed in favour of automatic checking sometime around version 200 IIRC.

Some clarification on what the "Wrye Python 02" file is on the Nexus page would be nice :)

It's a copy of Wrye Python 01, but with updated components as of now. Auto-installs, same as the original.

Lojack's first time uploading something to the TESNexus site.

I have already updated all of my Bash instruction pages, but I have to agree, haha...

If this has been asked before, I apologize. Is there a reason why the TNR races final and TNR races Si are no longer mergable? I remember they used to be. If I do merge them, any problems with that? Looking to save some esp slots.

You can merge them. I certainly did. Oh, you mean Bash mergeable. They have the import NpcFaces tags. Just select them under the Import Faces section in the bashed patch and deactivate them. There is no reason for them to be merged.

So I should manually remove the nomerge tag? Added by BOSS for some reason.

No. They should not be Bash merged. They should be imported and deactivated ONLY. That is not a new tag.

Edit: They might as well have the deactivate tag too. Just deactivate them. You have probably already selected them in the Import NpcFaces of the bashed patch. I do not understand your confusion.

My confussion is that in the past I believe BOSS stated to import faces and deactivate. Now it does not tell you to deactivate. So I confused this with merge. But now I get it, finally.

Thanks

You are still importing and deactivating. I just don't get it, sorry...
