[RELZ] Wrye Bash -- Thread 49

You are unable to rebuild the Bashed Patch if you completely remove TT? Did you also remove any merged plugins that depend on it? Have you tried using a new Bashed Patch?

I was having this problem with the command Rebuild Patch always resulting in errors when finishing, and I forget what I had done that fixed the problem (I had TIE enabled and after removing it the patch would stop rebuilding.) Now it is doing it again when I remove Tamriel Travelers, and even with the mod enabled it won't rebuild -just errors. I made sure that all merged plugins and everything related to TT was removed and still it fails.

Did You forget to remove this one has well..

manual delete always work from windows explorer can't go wrong with that..

Would like to request an addition to the Import Cell function to import a cells music type. Since this is not done by Bash atm, it reverses some of the UOPs fixes.

For some reason I thought if the box was green, it used the OBSE loader automatically. DOH! :facepalm:

Deleted all the TT files from the Data folder, tried using a fresh bashed patch, and there aren't any TT related mods in the merged section. Still gives me the string of nasties.

There has to be something I am overlooking... I just cannot see what it might be.

When you used the new Bashed Patch, did you use a different name (I.e., "Bashed Patch, 1.esp")?


Edit: Please, post your full plugin list (no ghosted plugins) via Wrye Bash, the current one with TT removed.

My thinking is that Bash stores configuration data for the Bashed Patch. Do not rename the ESP you are already using. Grab a new one and rename it before adding it to your Data folder, ensuring it is completely new.

You need to get a correct Working MMM install has you did not install MMM Correctly and you have Frans Installed Incorrectly for MMMforFrans.

You do not use Frans Creatures Addon, MMM Already Contains all the creatures plus more.

You do not use MMM.esp you only use MMMforFrans.esp

So either reinstall frans and choose not to merge the files or

do not use MMM Frans Leveled Quest

Else read the MMM Readme very closely once again

It's already there, the C.Music tag. Although the UOPS didn't have it in the tag list yet :P

I don't have a mod titled MMMforFrans in my zip file, and I got it only two weeks ago. When I installed Frans I didn't check the leveled quests or leveled guards. The MMM readme I have said not to use the Optional Files 4 section so I didn't. If it's not supposed to be merged into one file at all, I'll reinstall it then. But I don't see how this could be crashing the bashed patch since it was working fine before with the same setup :shrug:

Doesn't sound right, should just be the First time..., could try the http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368, then drop the 287 on top of it. :shrug:

I tried this. I even reinstalled python. Didn't work. So, I downgraded to 2.75, which I had in my last install. Still didn't work. That leads me to believe its either something with python or my system. What version of python should I be using? I'm using the 2.65 that came with the package, and have installed EVERYTHING that was in the nexus page python package. Can I use a newer version of python? There seems to be a 2.66 as well as a.... 3.2 beta release? Did I miss something or is that a different thing?

hmm I've been rather busy... too busy lately... first time I've read this thread in weeks (GULP)...
that tweak only works on items that are NOT saved in the save game since that will override any changes made via esp (including the Bashed Patch)
however fear not! it is still 100% usuable...

I want to be able to use an FCOM set up, one with just the unofficial patches, and one with a few resources in it and the parches. Or point me in the right direction please.

resources you can't toggle via profiles - load orders you can (actually you could also toggle resources by creating a package with a dummy esp but this I never tried)
Go to saves tab right click on the header choose profile>edit profiles add a new one and adjust your load order - done it will remember this load order for this profile. You can move/copy saves between profiles by right clicking on the saves

Yes 1 BP per profile.
Add profile _> switch to profile _> activate/deactvate _> build BP (name it as http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1109736-relz-wrye-bash-thread-49/page__view__findpost__p__16275964) _> activate BP for this profile
now switch back to other profile _> miracle ! the LO for old profile is the old one !
(RTFM and experiment a bit - I learned all this and much much more from the help - little blue icon with white question mark at the bash status bar)

I have RTFM about 50 times over the past years but the profile thing is something I have never fully understood thats why I'm asking here, I don't ask for help unless I really don't understand something and this is the one thing about Wrye Bash I have never been able to get my head around for some reason.

I have basically finished writing the script and I'm doing debugging at the moment. I've had some errors occur which I have managed to fix. At the moment though, I have run into the following error:

Also, I would greatly appreciate it if someone knowledgable in how DarkUId DarN is supposed to be installed can comment on how well I've structured the installation.

How do I make Bash forget about this plugin?

It will not startup now, by the way. I think restarting my computer clears whatever temp file is stopping it from running. Is there a PID file of sorts I can delete from somewhere to get Bash running again. I can get around that error by turning off auto-ghosting temporarily.


Edit: I found the PID file. Where is the file that records which plugins are loaded (and ghosted?) I need to remove it or something.

Edit: Where is the file that keeps a record of ghosted plugins? Bash has lost its mind over one ghosted pluigin, and it is seriously progress-hindering.

All of those potions listed in green appear to only have the path information to the meshes listed in lower case rather than with capitalized words. It's not really hurting anything but would be nice if it ignored situations like this.
