[RELZ] Wrye Bash -- Thread 64

Just trying out something which may not have been done before now, r1007 - I wondered if anyone had made an OMOD with the new http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32277 (current OMODS and old OMODS have had a test out - presumably made with the original OBMM) ...

Anyway I made an OMOD with OBMMex, threw in random stuff, a few folders of loose jpg's, a zip, a text file... No problems extracting it with Wrye Bash http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=6366772Untitled.jpg

If theres anything specific you want tried with OBMMex?

I think you should make an omod.
then make a omod of the omod.
them make an omod of the oomod,

Then try to extract it.

What is the best way to remove "Bash Mon" from my toolbar, (I don't forsee any purpose for it) I didn't see any ini tweaks for it, is it safe to just Delete the file itself ?

For 291, it's not possible to remove the button, but it should have been, so the svn now will only show the button if bashmon.py is present.

@Arthmoor:
I made some changes to the CBash cell patcher. Filter mods should work again, and I think the missing water height issue is fixed as well.

Can you retest and see what bugs there still are?

Stuff that's still broken:

1. Wrong persistent cell is being used: http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/4159/wrongpersistentcell.jpg
2. Missed water height: http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/6818/missedwaterheight.jpg
4. CELL 0,0 is attached in the wrong place. See first image for #3.
5. Wrong texture form assigned in landscape: http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/6957/wrongtexture.jpg


#5 changed output though, instead of index 4C it's now listing index 59 which belongs to an unrelated patch file for a different mod. Still not sure where it was getting 4C though since that's the ESP for an entirely different mod.

So I guess killing off #3 from that post is progress :P

Oh, and filters are working again. AN imported all cell data properly.

Well, glad I got #3 and filters working then.

For #2, could you post your LO and which mods have C.Water? I want to try to reproduce it on my end so I can dig into why it isn't working.

Well shucks. I can't download these right now...stupid nexus sites....grrr. Whenever they get back up I can do some real testing.

Have you already tried seeing what happens if you activate+import instead of merge the OCR+CH patch?

Yeah, nexus has been down for most of the day it seems. Would it work if Arthmoor 7z'd up the plugin files and sent them to you? That might save quite a bit of downloading time... I can provide an intermediate server if you need it.

I have a feeling that would be a big upload. I'd need the OCR+CH patch, plus all it's masters (minus choral hinterlands, already have that), plus any masters for the OCR files, etc, etc. I can just wait for the nexus servers.

If it's activated and imported, it never shows up in the bashed patch since it's far enough down the load order that nothing overrides it.

Yes, it might be a big upload to copy all the ESPs but it would be gargantuan to have to get all those mods one by one and have to endure a 30 second video add for each one. I've got a server I can upload to and I have FiOS at home now so uploading won't be an issue if that would help.

EDIT2: Ok, now I'm confused. I just downloaded OCR 0.9.1, and the OCR+ULCH Patch.esp (version 1.0), but it's not mergeable. I've got:

I'm using Wyre Bash, with Python 2.6. Whenever I try to rebuild my Bashed Patch, Wrye Bash freezes. The window is non responsive, whenever I click on the window I get they typical windows 'ping'. I am using Windows 7 and my Oblivion is installed to an external folder on my desktop. I am using Wrye Bash v.291. CBash is disabled

I did a reinstall of Windows, then a lot of copy paste putting programs back, so now my Profiles arent working, I see all the diferant folders(profile Names) but I can't select or edit from the Profile tab...

*Oh, I seem to have changed my file associations for BashProfiles.dat, What program should open it??

One big download and 3 hours of smashing my head agains my keyboard...

Finally CBash merging is fixed (at least, the one problem that I know of).

Since I'm still very unfamiliar with the Bashed Patch stuff, I'm not too sure how many problems this fixed, so Arthmoor if you would be so kind to check again the issues you reported earlier?

The editor ID and region data in the CELL record were not copied, and they need to be. I guess the patcher is not pulling this information forward, however it was prior to this update.

Water height is now being copied correctly at least. So it's getting there.

That thing with cell 0,0 and 00023777 is really the big sticking point. What bugs remain after that are trivial enough that the game would be playable. For the moment I'm manually removing the broken insert for 0,0 and changing the formID on the bad insert back to 00023777 to fix it. Otherwise all of the persistent records in the Tamriel worldspace get screwed up.

Good news: #1 and #4 are fixed now. All that's left is to figure out #5, plus any more problems you find.

I'm having a problem with the BAIN option. Every time I quit Wrye Bash and start it again after a while, the BAIN (Installers) option has been disabled and all my BAINed mods are gone. I then have to re-enable it which takes a long time.

Lojack - Just having a mess with r1015 ...

I noticed mention of the Back button on wizards probably being better in the other thread (http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1174346-wrye-bash-wizards/page__view__findpost__p__17541480 and redoing the back button) .. Just finished the new BAIN Wizard I was working on last couple of days and tried to break it as previously, hitting back quick from finish page to start, proceeding forward again with multiple options going back a step, forward again (basicly checking every single option back and forward for every page) ... No matter what I tried I cant make a single error happen :).


One minor cosmetic glitch again though; If you select Debug mode in the Mods Tab Header Menu, Debug page pops up. Alls good..

Now use the close button on the Debug page, go again to the Mods Tab Header Menu, Debug Mode is still selected.

Left click to de-select it - Debug Page appears again.

You get the idea, the menu option ticked or not is un-aware of whether the Debug Page is open or not. And every tick or untick will re-open the Debug Page (unless its left open from last selection)

You could possibly have a permissions error when Wrye Bash is trying to save your settings. Do you perhaps have Oblivion installed in the "Program Files" directory?

No, both are installed on my D:/Games/Bethersda Softworks/Oblivion.. Thought it might be because I had "disable at startup" marked, but when I unmark it it will be marked again when I restart Wrye Bash...
