I'm intalled python using wrye python and selected 2.5 on all the options. but when I create a copy of the shortcut on the desktop, it doesn't work. I have to go into the file that its in, and click on it there. is there anything i can do to fix this?

I suggest that you get rid of both Python 2.5 and Wrye Mash that you have installed, because python is almost outdated and Wrye Mash has now http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1106095-wrye-mash-stand-alone/ which doesn't require python with some improvements by Melchor. Further more you can install WMSA any where you like and also configure the installation path of Morrowind and the path of the Installers tab (click on the green disk icon). If you want a shortcut for Wrye Mash no problem just click on mash.exe and send it to desktop as shortcut.
