Okay, I'm gonna try not to rage but what the hell I just bought the broken steel DLC and when I load up my save in the purifier I wait for 10 min ( like it said on the guide to activate broken steel) type in 2-1-6 Enter then it goes to the long boring end scene of my life then goes to credits, I wait for them to finish and wtf i'm back at the title screen please help me as soon as possible thanks.

It will come up with a dialogue box thingy that says Broken Steel activated and increased your level cap to 30. When that comes up its good to go. I found it always worked outside so you might need an earlier save?

But I don't have an earlier save! :'(

Try starting a new game (dont save over your other save) play through the vault, when you reach the end and you get outside itll come up with the dialogue box, if it doesnt after a few mins outside then try redownloading the DLC? thats all i can think of

Does the play station have the menu at launch that say's Data files ?

If so click Data files instead of Play. In the window , check the box, Broken Steel ... close and press play.

You should then see the messages after some play time mentioning level increased to 30.

It is a good Idea to do this on a save game before the purifier death scene. remember you can back track and go back to where liberty prime is.

check you have downloaded it, look at download history and make sure its there. If you have you can try delete the game data and try reinstalling the game on the ps3. lol at your username btw.

Also did you have to check the bles code? is it for your disc, you could of downloaded the wrong one. But im not sure if you need to check the code so dont hold me to that.

in that case you probably dont need it, on some game dlc such as cod map packs once you've bought it you then have to choose the appropriate version for your region which is known as the BLES code, its found on the spine of the box and on the disc.

Yeah, i just downloaded Broken Steal. And its broken! I waited in the wasteland for that radio signal and it never came. KInda angry now that I'm gunna have to bend over backwards to figure out what the [censored] is going on. I've already wasted countless man hours reverse engineering the GECK just to figure out how to use it, bcuz Bethesda won't tell anyone how to use it. Thank you Bethesda, for wasting my time.

Bethesda won't tell you how to use the GECK because you are not supposed to mod consoles. It is in violation of the EULA. Also, there is no radio signal for Broken Steel. It is a continuation after the final scene in the purifier.

Did a message screen ever pop up that said "Broken Steel is downloaded, your level cap has now been increased to 30."

This should have popped up even if you didn't start a new game. If it didn't, then Broken Steel isn't installed. Plain and simple.

don't feel bad guy I have the Game of the Year edition with it already on the disc and I have started over and played up to broken steel 4 times and it will not activate either. Fawkes just stands there and tells me to put in the code instead of him.
I get no broken steel has been activated message and at the very end of the game about 20 minutes of credits and horse poop I go to the data files and get nothing; no continuation, no advancement to 30 level no broken steel and also none of the other extras are on it either.
Bought this so I would not have to go through play station network and purchase it since I have satellite internet service and my PS 3 cannot find internet service when I hard wire connect it from my modem directly into the PS 3 so I end up with a bad game a really bad game
