Whenever i quit the game(using the game menu) FO NV will crash and stop responding then i have to use ALT + DEL to stop the program...whats up with that?

Could be worse. It could crash when you're actually playing it.

well...it does that too..just not as often....

It crashed and restarted my PC after I quit the game the first time I played it.
Haven't had crash issues since.

After downloading and installing AC3 filter 1.63b this stopped happening to me. Before, it happened every time I tried to exit the game. Hope that helps.

Crash on exist is usually caused by the engine failing to unload assets properly. Not much you can do until NVSE(new vegas script extender), and the new vegas crash preventer come out.
