so last time i remember playing FO3 game ran ratehr smoothly and raely came across glitches

few days ago i went back to fallout 3 i got about 5 minuits in before i decided to go on a rampage 3rd person i killed froze the game so i gave up and played a diff game next day i try fallout 3 again and im traveling through teh wasteleand when screen gives me a chopped up start circle blocking my vision unless i look opposite way and dont know what im runing into (usully happens around rivet city and last about 1 min this day was not going away) then bunch of raiders spawned NONE of them had heads was just see through holes where there necks should of been

so after ridding the world of these things game froze AGAIN havent played since ...

so do i need to delete teh game from my hardrive and reinstall it?

FO3 shares the same hard disk space for its cache with Oblivion and Halo 3. So if you're switching between these games, I suggest clearing your cache.

When the game just starts, at the black screen, press and hold RB, LB and X all at the same time. Let go when you get to the Start prompt. The game will lag a bit for a couple minutes as it loads back into cache. You also might want to consider reducing the number of saves on your profile. I keep about 15 or so saves, deleting old ones as I move on. Never overwrite a save, always create a new one.

I have about 3 saves total maybe 4 if you count the auto save it makes if you dont have any auto saves ...

Sorry, I'd prefer to pay $300 for a system with a bunch of great games, large, hi-res screen, and the feel of a controller in my hand than pay $1500 for minimum specs, minimum amount of good games, and the HORRIBLE keyboard and mouse controls. And before you say "you get the internet, word, etc. not just games on a computer", I can get a computer that does exactly what i need it for for just $600. I'm paying $900 instead of $1500, and getting the same experience.

You can get mid-range PC for 600 dollars that still has 3-4 times greater CPU and GPU power than any console.

Consoles are the bane to the gaming industry, they are the reason we still have poor textures(look at Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age) and decreasing lack of physics in games, remember Half Life 2 how everyone thought every game would have such visuals, water visuals and physics? Well, consoles made sure that wouldn't happen for another fu*cking decade!

Now now, ignorance on either side does no good. I paid about ￡330 for my PC, which is midrangeish and runs just about everything on top settings (including the oft-quoted Crysis). That's a little over the price of a console, and the difference in the price of games will bring the cost over time further. PC gaming isn't more expensive than console gaming, it comes down to personal choice which direction you want to go. Personally I enjoy freedom - while I love mouse and keyboard controls, if I wanted to I could plug in a controller and use that instead. If I wanted to run on my TV, I could do that too.

I hate to say, but most mid-range computers are $800-1000... The cheapest you can get is about $300 and it works worse than my pet dog's brain could sleeping... The only computers that actually run things as fast as they need to in order to play large games are a lot of money, not something you could buy with two months pay...

It's a pity I thought I was playing Just Cause 2 with every setting maxed out earlier, I must have looked quite rediculous to everybody around, knowing I was staring at an empty screen!

Keep in mind, 330 euros is about $450. And when you say constructed do you mean you built your own? Because they are generally cheaper and run better than company-made systems. Oh and having a desktop helps.

Now, I'll admit maths never was my strongest area, but I do have a calculator here, and it's saying that $450 is still smaller than $800-1000 - apparently by quite a large margin!
And yes, I did build my own - with no prior experience, it took a few hours and was all very, very straightfoward. Square peg square hole, simple.

Building your own computer is generally cheaper, and desktops generally run more powerfully, even with the same specs as a laptop.

Yes, as I said, the vast majority of games on full, the very few that I can't run on full on very high settings.
