Wtf... It looks worse now!

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 10:54 pm

My home internet was down for a couple of days, so I wasn't able to download the day 1 patch on PS4. I couldn't understand why people were complaining about the visuals and whatnot, because they looked pretty good to me. But then I downloaded the "optimization" patch for consoles, and the game looks like [censored] now! Before, everything was smoother, and the lighting was nicer. Now distant textures are either jagged or blurry. And the big kicker is that the game doesn't run any better than it did before! It still has the exact same frame rate.

Sorry, but I definitely notice it. After 30 hours pre-patch, everything looks different to me now.

I don't understand why console people care about graphics at all °_°

why would you buy a console if that matters to you so much?

How many threads are you going to make complaining about the game? Don't like it? Then play something else.

You're such a sad sack. Like the Andy Capp of video gaming. The world just piles on you, doesn't it? Can't catch a break. :(

Btw I got an email notification that you replied to me in your other whine thread but I didn't read it, lol. Ain't nobody got time for that [censored].

Well sorry If I can't be happy with a patch that actually downgraded my $80 game.

Exactly, it boggles the mind.

If you care about graphics, stop buying consoles.

Wow, why are you all so hostile? He said the graphics looked great before and something happend after the patch. If thats the case its good that he brings it up.

And I haven't thought much about it but I have actually experienced "blurred" textures after the patch that takes around 5s before they go normal and crisp again (playing on ultra). Also having a bit of stutter sometimes i didn't have before.

But, both of this "issues" are rare and haven't noticed them often. Plus it might just be because of the larger variety of places I'm visitinh now compared to pre-patch. I dont know what the patch was suppose to do though. Oh and I'm on PC.

Kind of your opinion man. Which one I highly disagree with.

But yeah, better flame, blame and be hostile first. Especially while I just rememeber how the Last of Us looked back at the PS3, but ok :)

Probably an average 9gag guy...jeez :D

Well, I managed to find one graphical improvement at least. Skill Book covers are no longer blurry or pixelated.

The price you pay for getting a console instead of a decent PC huh?

maybe they did that to help with the HORRIBLE frame rate that I have heard Console Peasants users were getting?

This.

Consoles are never going to have comparable graphics to PCs. Consoles = low grade graphics. PCs >> Consoles

The PC elitism is strong in this thread.

Hint: that's not a good thing.

perfomance patches always do such things. know what? this is singleplayer experience, so you wont need any patches :)

if you like it more withouit patches, dont install, it will be playable nevertheless

Sounds like they turned down Anti Aliasing and the wet effect, whatever it was called. Those are good looking effects, but cost a lot of performance.
