WTF Moments in Oblivion

When i had to go get the Great Welkynd Stone, I snuck past the King of Miscarcand. After having left the city and fast traveled to Bruma, The [censored] followed me there! So I booked. Then from a rooftop, i watched the King of Miscarcand ruthlessly slaughter everyone there. I lol'd. Then I got his staff and duplicated for great justice.

I would love to see that haha. Would be interesting to see that if you have all the Allies of Bruma for the Great Gate.

Just had a wierd WTF moment, Whilst ambling along waters edge admiring the view i came across a imperial legion soldier fighting with a land dreugh so figured i would help him out, I went in to paralyze the land dreugh but used an Area effect spell by mistake and paralyzed the soldier who promptly spat the standard line at me, "stop right there criminal scum" etc etc and proceeded to attack me, but he was invisible and whilst he was attacking me his body was still on the floor lol i don't know how it happened but it the attacker didn't even show up with a detect life spell (his body did though)

Well, theres this thief quest where you have to fight some vampire called the Pale Lady and save Amusei. So i killed the vampire and started saving Amusei. As random as i felt i decided to mess around, I decided to mess around with the prisoner. So i checked around me to tell Amusei to stop chasing me, but he was gone, it was extremely annoying since i got arrested for escaping with a prisoner that wasnt there and that i had to waste 1 hour trying to find Amusei after that. Other WTF moments are in the guard houses when you wait in the guard tower for 1 hour and when you have the screen loaded you see 4-6 guards stacked up. It always makes me feel theyre all gonna arrest me.

My favourite moment was once when I was just randomnly wandering around in the great forest, you know just taking in the view and so on when suddenly the battle music started to play and I looked around just in time to see a minatour lord bearing down in me with a giant hammer, before I even got a chance to draw my sword the minatour suddenly fell forward and died. And then from behind a tree appeared an Imperial legion forester looking like freaking Chuck Norris or something.

Aside from the usual "Oh my god, they killed City-Swimmer for stealing a loaf of bread!" moment that I bet just about everyone here has experienced, the weirdest thing I've seen was Rimalus Bruiant murdering his own dogs, with his bare hands, in the privacy of his living room. One of my characters decided to pay a late night visit to the Bruiants of Chorrol, and that was what she found. Blew my mind. :ooo:

A lot of things go "weird" after the Mythic Dawn things occur in this game.

Oh, it especially becomes fun when a nice brawl breaks out just as you have left the Altar of Spellmaking, equipped with your Finger-of-the-mountain-enemies-explode-mega-blizzard-storm spell and start casting it anywhere there's a body just to tag the Mythic Dawn sympathizer.

I love multi tiered elemental damage.

GOD sorry for the double....

I said WTF when I killed people in the Isles, then came back not much later, and saw the slain body standing in the spot where i killed them, but in a crucified position.

Let's see WTF moments? that would be when a huge riot started in cheydinhal when the man who got evicted (can't remember his name) was fighting the guard to try to get back into his house. One of the DB members ended up dead. soo funny

My biggest WTF moment was with the DB bosmer archer, Telaendril.

She was just leaving Cheydinhal so I decided to stop and say hello. She shushes me and tells me that the risk of detection is too great blah blah blah. I'm like ok, whatever. Two seconds later we come across a guard patrolling the road, she changes into her DB armor and attacks the guy without any provocation. She just gave me a lecture on avoiding detection and she attacks the imperial patrols? WTF?

My best WTF moment was right when I started the game out of the sewers. I was all "oooh, look at that pretty ruin over there." So I swam over. "Oh, look! Some people to talk to!" One hammer blow to the head by a redguard bandit lady and I was dead.

This is exactly what happened to me!! All blue-eyed and blond haired straight out of the sewers marveling at the pretty ruins, lush grass and rolling hills and some tramp whacks me over the head with a blunt instrument. Talk about a rude awakening. Now I'm all paranoid and approach everybody with my weapons drawn =/ WTF?!

I love the free beds but I don't want to have six with men let alone have six and not remember it!

At least it was a human! Renee Gade II woke up in the Grey Mare one time...to find a LIZARD-MAN in her room. I was like EWWWWWWWWW!!! It was the last time she ever slept in one of those cheaper bar/inns.

Interesting, I've never woken up next to anyone at an Inn. I like going there because sometimes a house is too out of the way(at least in the Imperial City) and it's nice to chat with people.

One of my most WTF moments was when I did my initiation kill for the Dark Brotherhood. A legion forester somehow saw my assault of the poor (?) victim, so he wanted to charge me for that offense. I ran away as quickly as I could. I couldn't fast travel anywhere because he was in pursuit so I ran northwards without stopping all through the Tamriel evening and night. Luckily I was way faster than him. In the early dawn I come across a small village and enter the Inn. I am there asked to clear out a dungeon of some witch or other. I accept and go to look for the cave. Since I was playing a pure mage - wearing only a robe and no armour - I had to tread very carefully. It took me a long time and some good planning for every ambush and kill of those conjurers and mages in there.

I had spent at least a good half hour (in real time) in there, and was in the middle of the vast place. I was crouching down, sneaking my way downwards when I suddenly see that I am detected! I turn wildely around to see what mage I have overlooked - only to see the panting imperial forester coming running through the dungeon! He had follow me halfway across Cyrodiil to catch up, and as I was at low health with little potions left, I agreed on going back to prison. Have to say, though, I am quite impressed with the perseverence of those Imperial guards!

After leveling up to a substantial level, I decided to do a quest that involved slaying Goblins. Ok, I was not prepared for that. I was so used to wasting goblins like mudcrabs- it was an awful rude of awakening...

I once did a sneak hit on a goblin in a cave, and he flew through the air and landed head-down in a barrel, with his feet still kicking in the air. :)

I had a similar situation with Kat, so she was in the Skingrad sleeping in the Mages guild, and when she woke up, she saw Adrienne Berene still asleep.
If only I coulda seen it :hubbahubba:

Dyan my Paladin just woke up to find Tadros (sp?) something or other (dark elf female of the fighter's Guild) in bed. :hubbahubba: This the second time it's happened so I think Dyan is trying to tell me something!

Yea those guys are absolutely nuts. It's sad how dedicated they are to their job. Some of my eviler characters have assaulted guards, run into a nearby dungeon, adn used the enemies inside as "assistance" in taking down the guard. You should try this sometime, it's total mayhem!

First time ever using a frenzy spell. Ran into two conjurers and used frenzy out of desperation(using OOO normally I'd pwn those noobs). Was insane to watch.

On one of my previous playthroughs, everytime my character slept in the DB sanctuary, he woke up to find Antoinetta Marie lying in the bed wearing nothing but her underwear!

That reminds me of the time my character Sajin was doing a Cheydinhal Fighters Guild quest. She decided to sleep in a Fighters Guild bed after finishing the quest and woke up the next morning to http://morrowind4kids.com/pseronwyrd/Screenshots/Sajin11.jpg *edited picture*

She claimed she didn't know how it happened.

That seems to happen a lot at that Fighters' Guild branch. My character went to sleep there once and woke up in the morning next to one of the male orcs. In nothing but his birthday suit. (And since I run the game with body replacers, uhh...it was very much his birthday suit, let's just put it that way. :P) She ran flailing from the building (once I stopped laughing), and now insists on sleeping in an inn whenever she and her companions are in Cheydinhal. ;)

^ That is why NONE of my fighter's guild characters sleep in one of those open rooms (with multiple beds). They're all females so far, and they all have "standards". They either sleep in a single room, or an inn.
