...and some things reminded me of Skyrim. Here is some these things:

1) Elves in the movie wore...Elvish armor

2) Dragon attacking laketown. Short of like the same experience i had visiting Morthal

3) The Dewmer fortress inside lonely mountain reminded me of...dewmer ruins built by dwarves in Skyrim

4) There was a huge variety of mounts . This remind me of other pcgames like warcraft

Now i am confused since i dont know WHO influenced whom...

It's probably because the Elder Scrolls world's creators took their inspiration in JRR Tolkien's creation...

I'll give you a hint: The Hobbit was first published in 1937.

yes but the elven armor in the last movie looked a lot more like thalmer armor in skyrim. I'm going to check out the elven armor in lotr to see if they look the same.

Yes, because Arena and Daggerfall were clearly inspired by Meet the Feebles and Braindead. ;)

They watched the LoTR films: this is one of the reasons why Cyrodiil isn't a jungle (anymore).

 Jebbidiah H Christ lol :twirl:

Sir and or Madame, one statement.

No

Yours truly lol.

Lotr/Middle earth & TES draw from similar sources. there are few parallels between them and even less sense to try.

I think we're onto something here. Both stories have a beginning, middle and end. They both have a villain. And a protagonist! Both stories have dialogue! It's all clear to me now! *slaps forehead with palm*

Worth pointing out that the Elvish Armor of the Middle Earth films first appeared in the Battle of Helms Deep in The Two Towers circa 2002.

The Elder Scrolls, by comparison, didn't even have "Elvish Armor" until the release of Oblivion...in 2006.

Didn't the Elvish armor also appear when the story of the ring was being told in the very beginning of Fellowship when the elven armies were fighting Sauron's forces in Mordor?

Tolkien has set the bar for so much fantasy it would be hard to not take inspiration from him
