WTF with multiplayer

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 12:42 pm

i bought crysis & crysis warhead the day they're relative dates were released. 1 week into crysis(1) multiplayer...there was some **** noclipping and spamming tact nukes. Bah..they'll patch it soon enough. Nope...Warhead...patch...still the same ****.

Crysis 2...**** aimboting, no de-cloaking when shooting, noclipping, etc, etc.

Patch 1.2 out...already noclipping(capture the relay), etc, etc, etc...

I'm a decent fps'er, i know when people are cheating and i know when they are better then me. When i die, especially with crysis2 and the replay cam, IT'S OBVIOUS PEOPLE ARE HACKING. I really wanted to enjoy this game for multiplayer, but it seems like it's just another game i should have considered as a singleplayer game and deposed of. (if you catch my drift)

Yep obvious. Bought the limited for multiplayer. Lost 3 level xp due not saving. Exited 5 servers due extensive cheating. minimum ping 109, sometimes its unplayable due cheaters... Something wrong with hit detection sometimes, in the killcam mode he got me 2 times and i`m dead with armor mode and armor perk enabled and didnt recieve no headshot....

i enjoyed crysis1 and warhead. Crytek is a great company for making cool ass games.

Mutiplayer...

Mutilplayer IS the game.

If you don't make a good multiplayer game, who cares about the game.(??)

Not making a good multiplayer doesn't make a game bad. There have been a ton of excellent single-player games over the years, but the advent of multiplayer games has taken games from concentrating on plot and quality to, well, what we have now, which is games released well before they're ready, single-player campaigns being glorified multiplayer tutorials, and hackers running amok ruining everything while everyone wonders what went wrong and the leet kiddies teabag your corpse because obviously that makes their epeen bigger. I'm sorry, but I've played multiplayer games of assorted types (FPS and MMO) and the FPS crowd is incredibly jaded. If your lag is more than a few milliseconds, people scream about quitting. I've played games where it took minutes just to have your actions even show on screen the lag was so bad. People complain because a hacker shot them through a wall. I've played mainstream games where hackers had entire cities full of people cooped up in a single room trying desperately to heal each other so we could try to defend the bleeping place while they threw poison gas at us from half a klick away through walls while invincible. People complain because a server only has a couple people on it. Try playing a game built for 10,000 people on a server with only 200. Short version, yes, hackers are idiots and should get a swift sledgehammer to the balls, but everyone else complains way too damn much.

I hear there is a new hack coming out that will screw your system, so that it is you the one that cheats. This way the hackers don't even have to play the game!

Seriously what more do they get from hacking. I doubt they are even having fun. Wasting their money is all.

Most cheating start from 1 person making a hook-addon program and then join games and annoy people like crazy and then try to make other people cheat and pay money for it.
So they dont play and cheat cause they think its fun, to them its easy money made.

Lets say they have a forum and to get access to the cheats you have to pay small fee for forum access.
Win for him cause he gets fee and maybe even something for per person going on his site and it just spread as more get annoyed by cheaters and seek out the program themself.

I have removed the original quote to stop people from trying this and possibly being suspended, but entering a random CD key will not work.

Well I doubt PB can do anything against the free to play multiplayer the hackers have, If they got that right there would be way less hacker, everybody that hacks 90% of them is using pirated copy.

The only way to stop hacking is to make sure pirates can NOT play the multiplayer if that is done they can add PB.

Btw=> PB costs money so if they do it themselves it costs 0.

what needs to be done requires very harsh rules. Caught cheating and your banned from, let's say, only the ranked servers. i guess that wouldn't help if people are randomly generating cd keys though. if that's the case, wtf are crytek thinking? i know they arn't idiots. wouldn't you think they already thought of that before the game was release?

same with cheating and the track record of crysis1. why did they not implement an anti-cheat system before the game was released? harsh measures are needed and that's to permanently ban people from cheating.
