Wulf

I just had an idea. This guy http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Wulf is thought to be Tiber Septim, or Talos. Since Talos has pretty much been thrown out of the pantheon of Divines, what if this guy could give you a quest to get some people to have faith in him again? This is just an idea but:

In the corner of the city of Solitude there lies nine houses. Eight of them have happy families living in them, but the ninth only has a shrunken old man named Wulf inside. (This represents the Eight Divines and Talos.) Wulf tells you the story of Talos, and then says that he seems to be the only one worshiping Talos anymore. He asks you to go around town and ask certain people to pray to Talos at noon. Once you talk to these people, which will use some speech challenges to convince them to pray, return to Wulf.

If you failed in convincing anyone, he will sadly say that perhaps you are not worthy of the glory of Talos, and disappear in a flash of light. If you convince some or all people, he will, next day on noon, cast a spell that will make everyone praying to him have fortified skills. Then you go to their houses and ask them what they felt. The will respond positively, promise to pray to Talos, and give you gifts depending on their profession. When you return to Wulf, he will also reward you. If you succeeded in convincing all of the people to pray, he will gladly give you the Septim of Talos, which gives Speech +25, and Blade+ 20, and then disappear in a flash of light. If you only convinced a few people, he will say that you tried your hardest, and gives you the Robe of the Empire, which grants Speech +10. He will then, again, disappear in a flash of light.

A few days later, you may find that a family has moved into his house depending on your actions during the quest.

Thoughts?

I don't know who Wulf is, seeing as I never owned Morrowind, but this seems like a decent quest idea.

why do people come up with these crazy situations.....9 people family with one of them rejected? thats way to obvious.

Wulf was a secret in the game, he isnt outright saying its Talos....there are actually no hints really at all when you talk to him. You only find out it could be Talos when you talk to to the highest ranking Imperial Cult member. He would not have been interesting at all if he'd come out and told you he was Talos.....mystery and uncertainty makes lore like that much better.

It really was more of an undocumented quest if you even call it that. You just met him and he gave you something to carry, end of story. Kind of a generic disc without making it a spoiler.

It'd be cooler if Martin did this. There's been rumors of Sean Bean's return, sooooo....

I myself have yet to meet him, so I can't really have an opinion... Sounds like a cool idea though. I've only recently learned that Talos was no longer worshipped

I think it's a cool idea. Anything that is reminiscent of MW is a plus in my book.

Spoiler
Towards the end of Morrowind when you are on your way to Dagoth Ur, you are greeted by a retired imperial legion soldier named Wulf, who gives you a lucky coin when you are taking your last quest. When you talk to the publican at the "rest stop" before Dagoth ur, she mentions that no imperial legion has been there in years, and then Wulf is gone. In another sidequest, you come to find out that Wulf was Tiber Septim himself.
