One GTX 470 has 1280MB of memory, one'll do ya.

And don't make the mistake of thinking two cards means double your vram because it doesn't.

SLIing a card would help you out with your VRAM, it wouldn't double it but cause you have x2 GPU's the VRAM can chill a bit more and let the two GPU's handle the game better, like if the uber update requires 2gb VRAM and i only got 1.5, the upgrade path for me is SLIing, 2x gtx 580s could handle C2 with B3 running in the background too, of course an i7 or equivalent would be required.

Pretty sweet news, I genuinely didn't doubt Crytek or Cry-Adam at all when they announced DX11, and to top it all off, they managed to cause maximum excitement in the community to actually show that they redid all the textures, when all the skeptics thought they'd only just do a render path update and nothing more.

I'll be sure to download and install both packs and finally bring myself to go through the Campaign on Post-Human Warrior difficulty, with Post-Human Warrior graphics! Playing multiplayer with the new graphics might be interesting to see, most likely on an empty server I can enjoy the view on without risking myself getting fragged.

And come to think of it, wasn't advanced graphics going to be updated too when DX11 comes by? Maybe you can finally adjust those blur shaders among other things.

Unfortunately, SLIing makes it worse, the second card will literally mirror the first card's Vram to the exact dot, however, each card will each take one frame and render it, giving you "double" the frame rate.so having 2 cards actually, is a "risk", kinda mean with money, but hopefully this Dx11 patch will be an experiment for me in seeing what will happen when i run out of Vram, on a beast CPU and vengence ram, ill OC to 1850,.........if i have to.......

I wanna i7 870(got an i5 760 @3.8) :D, i recently upgraded my RAM :8GB ripjaw gaming ram, 1800MHz @ 8 9 8 24.

I had a very good experience with 2x 460s, i guess it depends on the card, the 260, 460, and 560 are all classics, i done the one renders one frame one the other thingy too, all no probs with BC2 MP.

Wish I bought a SLI mobo now but having two 460's would be quiet hot as my current 460 runs at 72c full load with very good cooling in my case. Oh well, I'll just get a 560 Ti next.

bottom cards always run cooler, and 72c ain't that bad. another 460 would be better. my 5870 superoverclock crossfirex should be fine.
I only have vista 32bit, so I guess i will be getting windows 7 64 bit for this tomorrow.

oh i see your mobo ain't SLI, thats a shame.

Don't worry about it. The 460 can handle 105 degrees. I have two MSI GTX460 Cyclone GPU's, check out my profile for a picture. I even have an x-fi card smashed between them. ZERO issues, and I'm overclocking everything in my system. (850/2175 on 1.050v w/custom fan profile) I did recently remove the heat sinks from the motherboard, both GPU's, and my H50 cpu cooler and applied some leftover AS5. (eventually get some newer better stuff) Before that though, highest temp on the top card I saw was 93 degrees. Bottom card gets around 75 or so like it did when I had just the one card. With the AS5 and the curing process starting to happen, I'm getting idle temps under 40 on both cards. I do have a good case though, with three 200mm fans, a smaller fan on the bottom, and the push/pull fans on the H50. Best upgrade I've ever done by far.

Old picture (without bottom fan and better "push" fan on H50)

Funny, no but it's a stinger, it looks like scrap metal from the outside only thing giving it away is the PSU, the case is completely busted and ripper apart, inside nothing special, all air, i do have an sli mobo that's just itching for another GPU though, it's a 'Herbie'.

I got a performance CPU cooler too, i had too little thermal paste applied so today i rectified that, honestly it's dropped 10C with the forum and C2 loaded.
