SSAO was already in Crysis 2.

Furthermore, ALL of these new features except ONE (tessellation) could be done in DX9.

Thats it, you put the turd in the punch bowl.

Ok, 2 things:
- The page "Dx11" that appear, maybe it's under construction , maybe that's because Cry-adam still can't say anything.
- There is a lot of DirectX11's improvements BUT, what happend with Physics?, no enough object to interact and no enough "physics object and options" to use.

Crysis 1 was amazing, Crysis 2 is on the road, we gonna have now with all this new patchs a beautiful Crysis 2 finally. Now we need fix all bugs to make this one of the best "game of the year"

^ True, if they update the physics as well then that would be awesome because currently the physics aren't too great. This is awesome news still, I just hope they have a physics update as well, either included or released later on. But man, those screenshots were just amazing; im like a giddy schoolgirl right now. I think it was seeing that they have a high rez texture pack in ADDITION to the numerous other dx11 and dx9 updates that did it for me.

Not the advanced DOF, the HW tesselated water + crest foam, improved shadows using SM 5.0, and I'm guessing this DX11 POM is somehow better than DX9 POM.

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer. What do they look like? Ships, motorcycles, were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought i’d never see. And then, one day… I got in >>>

God i can't wait to get from school tomorrow i hope it will be released by then (7 pm). You can allready click on Download link but nothing happens and they allready showed everything and they just need to make that damn button work!
I must admit i was a bit sceptical that they will bring this much uberness to graphics... Hmmm now i wonder if my gtx 560 ti can pull all of that at once with 20 fps at 1680x1050? hmmm

There should be proper AA has well rather than the blurry AA they did with DX9. DX11 is not just about features, it allows the developers to do certain features faster and better but look only slight different in some cases.

Now crysis 2 will look like it is supposed to and I won't have regrets about upgrading more ram, and graphics card anymore, as well as putting my Win7 64bit ultimate to use at last.

Crysis 2 will finally feel like Crysis 2.

:-O it's real! It's really real!! Not only DX11 but textures toooooo!!! Yes, thank the lord. This is awesome and what I have been waiting for. DX9 gets a new ultra spec plus the textures and DX11 gets the ultra spec plus textures, tessellation, SSAO and so on. Way to not screw anyone over Crytek! I have 2GB VRAM and I have a feeling I may have issues maxing this game out now lol.

so we can fall down in Skyline map, in proper style, watching beautiful walls !!

;-)

im excited !!

Nah...the new DX11 per vertex motion blur will make it feel so real that you don't even see the wall.

Does this mean, 64-bit? Also, SSDO is the better version of SSAO, that's why it looks even better.

Screen space directional occlusion also apporximates colors instead of just shadow, and does it more accurately than screen space ambient occlusion. It's the better way to achieve proper Global Illumination.
