Tending the Flames Quest
I cannot turn the rings on the door to allow the claw the get correct combo on 'Tending the Flames' quest. As I've already jumped into the water, I cannot backtrack and leave the cave. The quest has me stuck and cannot continue progress. I push A to turn the rings and nothing happens. Is there a fix coming. I can't play until this is fixed.

I don't know if it's just me but did anyone else encounter the bug whereby after you "kill" ennodius papius, the quest marker doesn't disappear and you can't turn in the quest to the dark brotherhood. Please help if you solved the problem, can't continue Dark Brotherhood quest line if this is not resolved.


yeah i have the same bug..even tried several savegames before i joined the dark brotherhood...doesn't work for me :( Hopefully they will fix that soon.
ps: playing on the xbox 360 aswell !

Please explain exactly what is happening.

What is preventing you from completing it?
Quest: Onmund's Request

Problem: If you find the staff before you pick up the quest, the quest may not update and you won't be able to turn it in or remove it from your inventory. It can be fixed by putting it on the weapon rack at your house and picking it back up.
(same stands on skyrim wiki)

Your are not alone, I'm playing on the French edition and I have the same problem. The problem is that many players do not have this bug on the same edition, it seems that it depends of witch quest line you chose in first.

No way to pick up daedric boots made by the daedric altar, they don't appear in inventary.

The white flask is consumed when used, perhaps on purpose but it doesn't make sense for it's supposed to be filled by endless liquid.

Crimson nirnroots break the associated quest (A return to your roots), when i remove them from my inventory to stock them in my house, they're removed twice in the quest. For example, i removed my first 4 nirnroots, and the quest said -4/30, not 0/30... So now i'm certainly unable to finish this quest.

In some places, it's impossible to summon creatures on the floor. Even the floor is broken ! (Oblivion realm in final azura star quest, some floors in blackreach etc.)

Daggers are not upgraded with one handed weapons skill, so they're utterly useless, even in a backstab after lvl 20+

My fire atronach and dremora keep fighting each other. They don't even obey to their master ! (perhaps an issue linked to the resistance bug in the latest patch 1.2)

It would be appreciated if the summon sword efficiency would scale to the player level after some level, for a standard daedric sword is quite efficient at start but totally useless when we have the same weapon or even glass/ebony upgraded with forge or enchanting... And this one costs no mana and lasts forever).

I am sadly now unable to collect dragon souls when I kill dragons after the patch. :sadvaultboy:

Wait 48 hours and it should say "White Phial has been filled", it just takes a while

That is related to the Spell Absorption bug and is already added

That is strange. What type of dremora and atronach? Lords, Thralls (permanent) or what?

Are you saying that the summoned swords don't level up with the player? (Their damage is based on Conjuration Perks)
or that they are better then Daedric Swords and you would want normal weapons to scale with the player? (Which are tied to the one handed skill tree and perks)

+1 to all the post-patch comments on how items that improve stats when crafting aren't being applied, ditto on the resistance issue. I've also seen increasing choppiness around the board. Also, the whiterun blacksmith shopkeeper in the lower area is missing. His wife's taken over the shop, but I have no clue what has happened to him. I've had the ground around the shop fail to load a few times, both texture and geometry, and I fell through to a lower section before. I wonder if he's stuck down there, possibly dead? I've also had interior walls totally fail to load in my whiterun house, along with half the furniture. I now have books trapped under the bookcase from when it reappeared, and can't get to any of them - and I was collecting treasure map fragments there >_< They have vanished from the list.

Honestly, I found the game WAY more playable before the patch - the texture issue had an easy work-around. The current set of problems do not, and are pretty much unplayable for a mage.

QUEST: REPAIR BROKEN PHAIL=still broken after patch1.2 (BUT then the patch didn't even come close to fixing quest lines ;DID IT??? fixed the crybabies texture issues,well now your game textures are better BIG DEAL THE QUEST LINES ARE STILL BROKEN) People cry about the most dumbest stuff in a game,i had very little issues with textures (but then i installed the game to my harddrive,and when something did look wrong a simple hit the guide botton fixed it,NOW THE PATCH HAS CREATED NEW ISSUES;LIKE EFFECTS DON'T WORK EVEN THAT THEY SHOW UP AS ACTIVE.
this quest is also tried to RED EAGLE'S SWORD(you need his heart,but even after collecting all the other items(including his heart)quest marker NEVER leaves him and you can not return the items to complete the quest.


EFFECTS ISSUE FIX(for me at least)
1.)clean your cashe of all updates restart your xbox and start your game up take the 1.2 update(1.1 won't comeup anyway)
after update is done dashboard and restart your xbox again and play the game.

Alright it has to be said since it isn't said in the OP.

It annoys me I have to keep repeating it but Weaknesses are broken as well!!!!!!! It isn't just Resistance that isn't working post 1.2 weaknesses aren't either!

Companions quest line, after Completing The Silver Hand. Next should be Blood's Honor.

I've completed two quests for Aela (one fragment of Wuuthrad and some plans). After that all I can talk about to anyone in the Companions is "Why did you become a companion" and "What does it mean to be a companion" (or something like that). I have tried attacking them and letting them cool down, no one still gives me the quest or tell me to go talk to Kodlak. I don't have any Companions quests active at the moment.

I have this too,but its not because of the patch I had it before the patch.

dunno if anyone else had this problem, but when i got decapitated by a silver hand in the second companion quest, it caused some weird bug/glitch where my characters eyes were closed and he was making an angry smirk on his face. nothing i've done seems to fix it and I assume it can't be. Fix this Bethesda

I'm not sure if the arrow bug refers to this one, because shooting a couple arrows does not fix it.

Every arrow I shoot with different bow/arrow drops 2 feet in front of me (with fully stretched bow)


This happend and still is happening. I tried 2 bows and 3 arrow types and the arrow just drops right in front of me.

Another Problem what i found (a little bit annoying)

It's about the Amulet of Talos:
If you loot the amulet from Roggvir's corpse after his execution in Solitude it will become listed as a quest item, and cannot be dropped. All other Amulets of Talos you pick up in your travels will also become quest items, and will stack in your inventory permanently.

I'm not sure of this falls under the save games category but when i open a chest or search anything (dead bodies, urn, sacks etc) i get 5 or so seconds of lag before i get to see the contents withing the container. same happens when i ask NPC what they have for sale and even selling an item takes a few seconds to disappear from my inventory. i have recently sold everything i was keeping in my houses and stuff to try and reduce save file size but it remains at 11MB. The game itself has no lag for me as in everything else but inventory runs smoothly. Also using the favorite methods takes ages to pop up and takes even longer to equip something.

sorry if this has been mentioned already but just wanted to get it out there

also i have created a new character in the mean time and i get not inventory lag or mini freezes when opening chest and all the stuff i mentioned above. so i am guessing it has something to do with save files size.

awesome game though.

Vilkis was my follower when he just disapeared with a load of my gear in his inventory. I cant replace him with another follower untill I dismiss him. I also need him for his one handed weapons training. We had this same problem in both Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas and it took 4 patches for them to fix it with a "companion dismissal terminal" which was really tacky. How embarrassing.

Not sure if this is the same as others posted as the only magical resistance I have is Agent of Mara and my Frost resistances, but as a level 37 Nord with close to 300 health and legendary Daedric Armor i have noticed after the patch that enemies are causing an awful lot more damage than they should. I am getting killed in only a few hits by bandits and forsword briarhearts and when I fought a regular dragon, each hit was causing me to lose 1/4-1/3 of my total health, which wasn't the case previously.

I also have been experiencing severe choppiness when fighting multiple opponents, it was so bad that it was like watching a skipping DVD movie and I need to close the game when it happens.
