Purchased steel plate boots with 50% fire resistance from blacksmith. I already had a pair, but wanted to give the second pair to my companion. The blacksmith took my money (1500), and never gave the boots. What gives?

Also, can't get rid of certain quest items, even after quest completed (like the flute, etc.). Why make us carry around that stuff and not be able to get rid of it when it weighs us down? Most quest items should not weigh anything at all (or a .1 at most). I won't do any more Bard quests until this is fixed (since I heard you can't get rid of those, either).

I'm sure someone mentioned companions not leveling up? I have to babysit my companion constantly. He falls after one or two hits.

Great game, but still needs a few small repairs.

I don't know if anyones already pointed these ones out, but:

Markarth after completing the "Forsworn Conspiracy" quest, all the guards constantly want to apprehend me and refuse to let me pay off my fines, or use my title of Thane to get out of it. This has made some other quests nigh on impossible, as I can't set foot in Markarth without the guards trying to kill me constantly.

Also, after "Bloods Honour" for the companions, the next quest is meant to automatically start, as per all reports online. I was being chased by guards when I returned to find Kodlak dead, and now Vilkas will not start the next quest.

I've got a level 42 character and don't really fancy having to start the game again just to complete the companions quest line.

I also can't do the thieves guild quests properly, as I've sold my thieves guild armour. If it is required to complete the quest line, it should not be possible to sell it.

I can't complete the miscellaneous quest; "Find the copy of Fragment: On Artaeum". I have a copy of it in my inventory yet, a flag still shows up on a chest in Valtheim Towers to retrieve it. When I click on the chest, there is no copy of the book inside, only items.

(After v. 1.2 patch)
Another issue I'm having is with the bookshelves in Breezehome. I put books in all the bookshelves before the patch and had no problems removing or reading them.
Now if I remove the books all at once, they still show up on the bookshelf and in my characters inventory. Afterwards, if I click on the bookshelf or a book, I can't go into the bookshelf inventory, read a book, or remove a book. Also,if I take books off the bookshelf (by clicking one each book individually), I can't click on the bookshelf itself, and If I add a book to the bookshelf, I can't click on the bookshelf.

I know Reunification of Skyrim quest is already mentioned, but I just now am attempting it and so far it seems Rikke isn't even here. The map indicator takes me to the camp, and there's no one standing where it indicates, and she is nowhere to be seen at the camp. Maybe I'm missing something..?

I did not (and refuse to) apply the 1.2 patch, fyi.

General:

Some people (me) are unable to sprint at all, even with new characters and trying to remap the key.

Similar thing happens on XBox360 after installing the 1.2 update. In first-person view, am not able to run at all and attempting to sprint results in a just quick lurch forward as though sprinting two or three steps before returning to a casual stroll. I am able to run and sprint in third-person but it's a bit of a pain to have to switch since I greatly prefer the first-person view.

On a lighter note, some of these bugs would make a pretty funny spin on your character's story:

For example:
-Senna will not sleep in a bed making the bonus 'Lover's Comfort' unobtainable (She's really just using you for your Gold)
-Brelyna Maryon, can't receive 'Lover's Comfort' (see Above)
-Mjoll the Lioness will have Aerin follow her (jealous follower doesnt take a hint)
-Killing spouse will make you unable to remarry (Mara has cursed you for such defilement).

Hopefully the guys at Bethesda are taking the bug reports in stride. Keep up the good work folks. We know it ain't easy fixing the bug monsters.

Couple issues with 1.2

Stamina increasing items don't increase carry weight limit

resistance is gone

The first dragon I beat since the patch didn't give me a soul (oh the irony)

BUG

College of Winterhold - Revealing the Unseen

When I am asked to place the crystal in the structure, I can do so. However, I am unable to change the focus of the lights through any method.

Fire, ice, shock, melee, arrows, reloading saves, exiting, waiting... you name it. I've tried everything, and I cannot focus the lights.

Would just like to put in / confirm a few glitches, not game breaking if handled correctly I guess, but glitches all the same.
I am on Patch 1.1

Riften House - If you save while inside the house, on your next load, ALL of your furniture will be gone. But none of your stuff. Kinda funny if you had saved while sitting at the table with Iona and next minute, your food is on the floor. - Solution, don't save inside.
Riften House - The mannequins are alive. After decking out my mannequins with armour collections and leaving them for a few days, I came back and found they had moved slightly around the room and have appeared to have eaten my armour. Armour was recovered on activation of the mannequins, however this caused them to jump around the room a little bit more which, of course, is freaking creepy.
Riften House - Not a glitch, but an annoyance. The mannequins are male. How am I supposed to check out my new cute dress and kickass armour when it switches to pants on the male mannequin? Can I have a girl mannequin, please.

Cicero - Just outside of my Whiterun, Cicero got his cart stuck and I talked a farmer into helping him out. 2 weeks later, Cicero is still there, waiting for the farmer to help him. I dunno what to do here, all the dialogue has been completed. I'm hoping that this will not effect future Dark Brotherhood quests (I have not yet joined).

Followers Leveling
What is the deal with this? After extensive research and a lot of confusion, I've realised that my hard arsed, shield family over at the Companions guild is stuck at such a low level they're be no use to me, ever again. I had plans for that Vilkas. I decided to be very careful about entering other areas now, and to fire my followers when they got too useless before switching to a new one which is sorta working out for me. Iona seems to be a lot happier carrying my burdens than Lydia was.

If the followers are not meant to scale with you, then give them a higher level cap. Perhaps Lydia could cap at LV 15, Whitehold Mages at 25, Companions at LV 40, etc etc.

It annoys me to no end that the Companions are so weak.

Just found a bug outside of whiterun stables, there are 3 NPC's all the same, Louis Letrush... and one is half way stuck into the ground lmao so ridiculous

Anyone know about Rikke not being present at Pale Imperial Camp (reunification of Skyrim quest)? Is that the bug? As I read, people are just having problems with her giving quest objectives or something of that nature, but I can't seem to find her anywhere. Some input would be appreciated.. ^^;

Not sure if this has been mentioned so far, but I didn't see it in the first post- Muiri, when married, doesn't change her dialogue. She only ever repeats her quote relating to the quest you have to do for her.

All with 1.2 patch installed. (may not be connected to that patch)

- Dog (stumpy) fell from the sky and died on my first visit to Riverwood.
- Wood logs stuck to the axe if the woodcutter in Whiterun.
- Cottage in Rorikstead appeared out of nowhere when I was walking around that town.

Solved my own issue. Seems fast traveling anywhere near the camp somehow bugs it up, Rikke was there on a third attempt when I traveled the whole way normally.

1.2 for me.

Tried going into Geirmund's Hall near Ivarstead. Framerate dropped to unplayable in the puzzle room. Probably has something to do with all the effects going on in this dungeon.

Can also confirm Louis Letrush standing outside Whiterun stables. Just one of him for me. I persuaded him to give up Frost.

Think the treasure maps are bugged. The chests have stopped spawning for them. I started a new game two times, to check this. Both times when I looted the first treasure map, the chest did not spawn.

Got a freeze up last night for the first time. Went back to the main menu and signed into my profile as my girl was playing on hers. When I did that and clicked continue, it hard locked my system. This was on patch 1.1. I cleared my cache, connected to LIVE and got the 1.2 update to see if this remedies anything relating to that. All other issues being reported with 1.2 don't seem to be affecting me, especially the resistance bug.

  • After fast traveling to places where I've killed dragons, their skeletons will be in different places and/or vibrating or shaking.
  • Some dragons will not die, but will have 0 health and will stop attacking.

  • major bugs in Karthwastern including: people in a seated position near chairs, but not in them; stray dog continually barking; dragon flying in, attacking once, then flying away..

Will edit if I find more.

Edit:
  • With a new character, first time into Whiterun, accidentally fell into water (near Dragonsreach), couldn't swim, only walked underwater like it wasn't even there. Reloaded a save and tried again, it did the same thing.

After getting a Dragon Bounty last night from Whiterun: While encountering the dragon severe lag started half way through the fight. When damaged enough instead of crashing into the ground the dragon crashed UP into the game's sky and stayed there twitching like an epileptic playing old-school nintendo games while on a sugar high. After running away far enough to drop combat the lag ended. When returning into combat with the twitching dragon the lag started again.

Restarted the game minus the quest and the game's been fine since. Problem was tied to the dragon that was directly related to the Bounty, because I've killed many others before and after this occurence without this happening.

Paying off bounties via being a thieves guild member still does not work. Guards take money but will not clear bounty. Next guard will ask for money, and it just repeats never clears. In prior patch you could go to 5-10 guards till it actually clears randomly. Now it just does not work. Paying the actual bounty works, but then what's the point of being a thieves guild member? :(

The daedric quest: A night to remember : - Skipping portions of the quest like going directly to ysolda instead of going to rorikstead or finding sam before handing ysolda the ring can make you run around with a quest item "wedding ring" which you are unable to hand over to Ysolda, she wohnt have the topics for you to talk to her about the ring and give it to her.

Dark Brotherhood courier wont come after completing Innocence Lost, entire questline cant be played.

Designed my entire character around joining the DB and now I can't even do it because of one tiny little glitch.

Any ways to fix this or am I the only one with this problem?

Since 1.2 my game keeps locking up. I've played for almost 200hrs. since release day and that never happened. Since yesterday its locked up five times on me, usually when I fast travel or try to wait. That and the resistance problem are the only things I've encountered.

I started having texture problems Sunday night playing off-disc. I first noticed some extremely bland textures on the plaques along the 7,000 stairs up to High Hrothgar that would pop into focus whenever I would trigger them. I had never installed the game, nor had I had any texture related issues up until this point (aside from random water effects popping in and out, which reloading fixed). I do a manual save in front of one of the bland plaques and give my system some downtime. A few hours later I restart, clear my cache and proceed to reload my save. Not only are all of the plaques still bland and muddy, but so are all of the snow-covered rocks, or really any stone objects in my game around me at this point. I enter the temple and the textures look even worse (it's mostly stone floors and walls). After triggering the usual first-time dialogue I follow the Greybeards out back and the snowy rocks on the floor just outside the door look so bad they are almost luminescent. I just want to stress that up until this point I hadn't even considered installing this game because after (hopefully) reading these forums they will realize that this is happening off-disc as well.

After this, I promptly moved my saves to a USB stick and deleted the Skyrim related stuff from my HDD. I then swapped out my HDDs, formatted and cleared the cache on my old one just for this game. Updated and started a new game hoping my textures would be fixed. Not at all. The intro looks so much worse when the dirt and stone near the chopping block are all but indistinguishable from each other and doing that weird pixelated dance bad textures do. It's even worse in the Keep, where there is moss all over the floors and walls that looks blocky and bad. The stone walls that some of the buildings have look plastic and shiny and anything and everything looks really bad up close. Even the initial loading screen with Alduin looks really bad, the wings and claws have a bland muddy texture, as does most of his body. What I found odd about this was that the word wall he rests on was pretty sharp, in that I could make out what was carved into it, and it actually looked like it loaded properly.

Even weirder still, 1.2 has improved my textures slightly, but only while installed to my HDD, something I had never done before, even though this was supposedly only an issue when installing. By no means does my game look like it did before any of this (everything still looks really bad up close and a lot of clothes and armor lack fine textures), but there has been improvement in that some grass textures look really nice again and the stone/dirt paths look SOMEWHAT nicer. And when I say everything looks bad up close, I mean EVERYTHING, wood, trees, flowers, ingredients that rendered really well before, it's all just a bland mess now. That's about it.

i know this has probably been said already but the texture issue is still there, i traded my ps3 copy last week for the 360 one and its way more noticeable on 360. even with the patch the issue does not seem to be resolved. textures especially the hands downscale much worse than the ps3. i installed this game onto a flash drive, so please fix this in the upcoming patch the TEXTURE ISSUE IS NOT FIXED BETHESDA!!
