Xbox 360 Bug Report Topic

EDIT: I forgot to mention I haven't downloaded any patches, so this is Pre-patch but may still carry onto the patches.

These are from my experience and may or may NOT be common/rare.
Also I read some but not all, so some of these may have already been confirmed.

-Windhelm house has Bugged Weapon Racks/Plaques/Display Cases. Ex: "Activate" never shows with or without an equipped weapon/shield
-Ebony Blade and Skull of Corruption fall off Weapon Racks/Plaques when Reloading the cell. (Tested at Markarth house)
-Nettlebane and Blade of Woe daggers display strangly on Racks/Display cases. Ex: halfway being out of the display. (Tested at Markarth house)
-Riften house (Honeyside) displays weapons crooked on Plaques. (Tested with multiple weapons)
-Proudspire Manor has 2 bugged weapon rack parts, the very left and very right parts of the one in the basemant are bugged.
-I duel wield animated killed a Winterhold guard in the city... he fell through the ground and only his torch and sword remained.
-I fell through Whiterun's ground when beside a building, forgot the name but may check again if asked. I got back up from the water.
-Mercer Frey Glitched out and would not open the door when you go to find Karliah with him, Reloading fixed it though.

Only big problem from these in my opinion is the Windhelm house bugs, I can't have my true trophy room until it's patched, and i'd like to show off the Ebony blade too.

Hello, I would like to add that I have been having issues becoming the Thane of Falkreath, as the Jarl will not offer me his fetch the beer quest, and he only has two dialogue choices all the time. Anyone gotten this bug and or found a way to fix it? Thanks!

Can Confirm Thieves guild quest Broken.

Just Finished ' A Chance Arrangement" no prob

Quest " Taking Care of Buisness" Brahnof is not in the Ragged Flagon But the Other Guild members are talking as if he was.

This was not happening before 1.2.

Great now another one.... I helped all of the people in Solitude,and for some reason I'm not a thane,nor can i purchase the home...but i do have the goal to get the improvments on the home with devin mallory already...so i blew a bunch of money improving a house that isnt mine nore can i get! upset.

The Elder Scroll isn't glitched. You can get rid of it by giving it to the Orc librarian at the College of Winterhold.

i have an issue with the ice form shout. i put off killing the dragon atop mount anthor and i believe thats where you originally get the first word for the ice form shout. i found the area where you get the second or third word for the ice form shout first and now activating the word wall atop mount anthor does not add another word to my shout.

I think your getting that bug I heard about where if you don't get the words of power in order then you can't get them all or something.
I don't know how true it is though.

On a lighter note, some of these bugs would make a pretty funny spin on your character's story:

For example:
-Senna will not sleep in a bed making the bonus 'Lover's Comfort' unobtainable (She's really just using you for your Gold)
-Brelyna Maryon, can't receive 'Lover's Comfort' (see Above)
-Mjoll the Lioness will have Aerin follow her (jealous follower doesnt take a hint)
-Killing spouse will make you unable to remarry (Mara has cursed you for such defilement).

Hopefully the guys at Bethesda are taking the bug reports in stride. Keep up the good work folks. We know it ain't easy fixing the bug monsters.

Well, my redguard spellsword does not consider this a "lighter note" at all. He loves Senna, and married her.

When he moved her to Breezehome she slept the 1st night; he joined her in the bed and was only "well rested".
She refused to sleep at all after this. (Approx 50 game hrs)
Then he purchased the home in Solitude, and waited until it was fully furnished before moving her there.
She moved and decided that the bedroll in the bsmt was most comfortable for her. He cannot get on the bedroll with her; It says its already "occupied".
She will eat, cook, give money, do alchemy and use all levels of Solitude... but she will NOT sleep in the master bed room. She sleeps regularly now on the bsmt bedroll.

It is a very "frustruating" bug for my redguard. He adores her... robe and all. He has not received any lovers comfort since he married her. Obviously, he cannot remarry.
For role players, this is not minor, and I hope they can find time to address the whole marriage component including Lydia.

I own 2 houses, one in whiterun the other in windhelm. I can't mount and weapons in either, and couldn't since i bought the game and got the day 1 patch. Since DaggerFall I've been wishing for a cool way to show off weapons and armor. You finally include this feature and it doesn't work. This isn't game breaking and I'm not going to trade in my copy. I'm just very annoyed and would love to see this fixed.

~ I can take weapons from the Whiterun house "weapon and shield display" plaques but can not "add" anything back to them. Although, I can equip and "activate" the "Weapon Rack" (just inside the door) to add a weapon to it.
~ Upon returning home, husband reports that he has gold but then does not give it to me.
~ Same thing with delivering the 20 weight keg, it says it's taken, but it's never taken out of my inventory.

This is after patch 1.2

Edited to add... Ok, I'm feeling really stupid.
After turning off the Xbox and re- turning it back on later, the mead keg was taken out of my inventory. The husband gives me my share of our "cozy profit." But... The weapon and shield display still won't accept an equipped weapon or shield (That, I can live with... for now)

Dead thralls will quite often go missing.

Once they have gone missing the active effect will not dispel. Summoning additional thralls or atronarcs does not dispell, and it can in fact stack if more of your newer thralls go walkabout.

This causes all non friendly NPCs to be afraid of you, some will not initiate dialogue.

I just got a message from Gstaff about this. I wrote to them yesterday asking them if they planned to adress the texture problem with the next title update because they hadn't really mentioned it in the update they posted, and that had me a little worried. There response seriously has me worried. I'll post what was said.

"Thanks everyone at Bethesda for the forum update. I think that all the fans who were experiencing problems just wanted to hear that you're still here for us. Good job! I'm sure you soothed a lot of angry souls, haha. Really though, it was sincere and honest and I for one really appreciate it.

My one questions is this; you didn't mention the persistent texture issue on the 360 that people are still experiencing even with this update. I myself have tried playing from the disk, from the HDD, from a usb stick and a plethora of other "fixes" people have stumbled across and none of them have worked for me. I just want to know one thing and then I will patiently wait until the patches are dished out. Are you still aware that this problem persists even after patch 1.2 and will it be fixed (hopefully) in the next patch.

I really want to experience this game as I have all of your other excellent products but the texture problem is a little jarring at times. So I will wait to play until that issue is resolved.

Again, I'm really glad you addressed the community. It's just that the lack of information about the texture issue is a tad concerning to this fan."

This was their response.

"To be honest, most of the texture stuff I'm seeing post patch either relates to normal caching based on how the game works or are situations where people are generally unhappy with the textures as they're intended.

If there are additional changes made, we'll note them in the release notes.

Now we all know already that this isn't a caching problem as some of us have built a cache already. Also, we have comparison shots as proof showing low res and high res comparisons of same objects. So we aren't just being picky. We seeing a physical change from high res to low res and they wont revert back.

The thread has really good pictures as to what the game turns into when this happens. And nothing fixes this. Apparently our games are all working as intended.

That is insane, everyone knows it doesn't look as good as when it isn't installed.

Maybe we should just start spamming GStaff with links to this forum to show him, lol.

I had no problems with this game until I downloaded the latest patch. Big mistake. I'm not doing any quests at the moment that have known issues so it should be easy to avoid them but there are still a number of issues that are extrememly frustrating and impact general gameplay even if not doing specific quests.

1. I can't always get into the conversation with my companion. It would automatically go into command mode and not provide dialog options. Very frustrating when I'm close to maximum capacity and can't exchange equipment.
2. Many of the animals/enemies/equipment don't allow me to search and pick into inventory. Equipment will just float in the air before me and never go into my inventory. I would try to search a killed enemy and the same would happen that I'm just dragging the body around and never get to pick the items.

These are probably top of my list to fix immediately since it impacts all aspects of the game. Most frustrating that the game was working fine for me and now it has become very frustrating. Will probably move to another game until most of the current issues have been fixed.

Very poor quality control and made a great game into a substandard delivery. Any product this buggy should be avoided and based on my experience I would not recommend this to anybody until fixed.

When my female Dunmer uses the Forge the blade of steel sticks to the hand at an odd angle, so she will go thru the forge animation but will only grab/hammer an invisible object

I have had two dragons fall out of the sky dead. The first was when I was coming out of a cave. It was impaled on a tree. The second was while I was walking along a path, I heard a thud and I turned around and it was lying on the path were I had just been walking. Both times the did burn and I got a soul. The dragon at Bonestrewn Crest is giving me real problems. Its a Blood Dragon, the second I've seen so far. It is displaying all the common Dragon bugs. The first encounter If behaved normally until I killed it. Then it simply died, no burn and no soul. Three reloads and the same result. So I quite to the dash and cleared my cash. Now some times it won't attack, or it flies backwards. I have reloaded saves, quit to the dashboard, I even cleared the cash and redownloaded the 1.2 update multiple times. But that only changed what bug I experinced. I hope this helps.

GRAPHICAL BUG

- The tip of the nose of the characters looks horrible, very pixelated, in some cases. I noticed this after the patch, looking at Lydia, or for instance the Imperial General in the Rift Imperial Camp and like him many other NPCs

I tried to get training in Riften on a new character and Light Armor (for instance) was already showing 5/5 Master. I had just arrived in the city and have a light armor of only "17".

It looks like training I took with a previous character is showing up in a new save file.

I ran into 2 more glitches.
Before the patch, when I fast traveled to the Whiterun stables, there were 2 Louis Letrush's standing there. After the patch, I fast traveled there again today and there were 3 Louis Letrush's. Two were standing next to each, and one was halfway in the ground.

Also, the mannequins in Honeyside in Riften were standing very close to each other up against the wall.After I unequipped the armor I had on them, they went back to their original position.

Problem with Repairing the Phial, I had briar hearts prior to starting the quest, when I received the letter that begins it I couldn't drop any but I could eat all of them. My problem with this lies with it not registering ANY briar hearts I pick up as progress towards the quest, even when reloading saves from before I got the letter it's still borked. Happening with version 1.2, was happening with 1.1 as well.

On Xbox 360, my horse sometimes becomes invisible. It's still there--I'm hanging midair with my legs spraddled rather ludicrously--and it moves about normally, but it's invisible. This typically happens right after I've mounted, but doesn't always happen. Walking the horse around for a little while brings it back. This has occurred with multiple horses. I haven't yet applied the 1.2 patch.

I've read other reports of this and I don't understand it. I'm on the 360 and the Breezehome (Whiterun) weapon rack works just fine for me. Looks GREAT, too! I don't have any other houses yet. (Have not installed 1.2 patch.) Now, can we have an armor rack, too??

I think that's a known feature of the game. Sometimes the horse becomes transparent when the camera gets so close, to allow you seeing better. AFAIK

Bookshelves in my Markarth home are glitched since 1.2, if i try to take a book of the shelf it totally glitches that shelf, i can no longer even click on it. Also when the game is installed Textures from far away dont render. I saw a waterfall completely standing still from far away.

The longer you play, the closer behind your character the camera gets. AT the beginning, you can see almost your entire character in the camera (over the shoulder view). By hour 60 you can only see about half of back, shoulders and head. Way too close up front, with all wrinkles etc. showing. This is gradual and I've read others say the same.

Bookshelves eating books and not giving them back, no longer able to activate the shelf. (mentioned).
Resistances. Mentioned. Serious if playing a mage-hunter.
I had a horse drop out of the sky before the 1.2 patch.
