Xbox 360 Bug Report Topic

Ash piles never disappear they stay on the ground in the place where they first appeared forever.

The texture glitches persist, the ground seems to fade away. The patch made the distant textures look like mud, the waterfalls suffer the most they do not even move. This did not happen post patch with the distant textures.

The zero magic resistance bug is terrible.

Dragons flying backwards...

The Talos blessing reduce time between shouts is zero percent.

Bugs I have found,

Quest - Hard Answers: thieves guild quest, after finishing the thieves guild line I later returned to the dwemer museum to get a stone of barenziah and this quest appeared for me again, nw stuck in my quest log.

Misc Quest - Assist the people of Haafinger (5/5): This was to become thane of Solitude. The Jarl asked me to help 5 people (whom I had already helped) and to purchase a house. I purchased the house and returned to her and became thane, however this quest is now stuck in my quest book and was never triggered as completed even though I am Thane of Solitude.

Misc Quest - Kill the leader of Uttering Hills Camp: This quest was given by Annekke Crag-Jumper in Darkwater Crossing, a possible follower though not if this quest was given after completing Rebuilding the thieves guild. After re-estblishing the thieves guild in one of the cities, I believe it was for Windhelm, Uttering Hills Cave is now filled with Summerset Shadows and not bandits. The quest pointer points to the corpse of their leader Limwe. Tried casting undead thrall on him to kill him again but He is too powerfull for that spell. Quest is stuck in my quest book.

Misc Quest - Report Leifnarr's death to his Family: No quest pointer appears to tell the player where to go to finish this quest. I loked it up and found out it was Heartwood Mill. Had not visited there yet. Went there and no quest Dialog appeared with anyone to finish the quest. Quest is stuck in my quest book.

Misc Quest - Collect bounty from Skald: Did a bounty quest for Jarl Skald. After completing it I recieved the reward but the quest did not trigger as completed and is now stuck in my quest book. This quest is different from the others in the fact that I can no longer toggle it as active while the others I still can.

Nothing gamebreaking but very annoying if one likes their quest log tidy, or if one wanted Annekke as a follower.

BUG: After finding the horn I needed and reunite in the Sleeping Giant Inn of Riverwood -main quest- with the person who had it, I could take everything for free there. (the message Steal in red didn't appear on any item) It might not be a bug, because I took almost everything with people watching me and they didn't call the guards, so the system was working fine. However, I also went to the Trader store of Rivenwood to sell some items just afterwards. There I was able to take different things -without the Steal word highlighted in red on them-. Camila and her brother saw me, took some gold coins, healing potions, etc, no problem at all. BUT!! some other items had the Steal warning on them. I then tried to open a chest with a Novice lock thinking they would be fine with that because I got some gold and potions for free, but they saw me and called the guards. I got arrested. -Fine : 5 coins.
Ah, I forgot to add that it was night when I entered the Sleeping Giant Inn, and before leaving and going to the Trader store in Riverwood, I slept 8 hours in the Inn -went outside for a brief moment and then entered the inn again (everything was still free for me, no Steal warning when entering again)-. I slept 8 hours afterwards, went outside and then to the Trader store of Camila and her brother. I mention this just in case it matters.

I have a problem similar to the random Markarth guard attack, but it is in RIften and I get a random bounty and a random NPC attacks me along with the guards.

Ok, not sure if this is actually bug or not (by consensus, I think it is).

IBut Lydia (one of your companions) is bugged, it says on the guide you can marry her but I've seen no option so far to marry her for the xbox 360 console. I know you can do it on a PC but there's no command console on the x-box.

This isn't a game-breaker, but I'd like to see it fixed if it is a bug. It seems like a really simple fix too :poke:

The longer you play, the closer behind your character the camera gets. AT the beginning, you can see almost your entire character in the camera (over the shoulder view). By hour 60 you can only see about half of back, shoulders and head. Way too close up front, with all wrinkles etc. showing.
It's recently come to my attention that the first person camera isn't positioned correctly in accordance with relative height for atleast three of the ten races, most notable with high elves. It's a big immersion breaker when you find your altmer looking up at nords and orcs respectively.

Well i love the Skyrim game for starters. Its great and i love the huge atmosphere, monsters & creatures you run into...so with that said im satisfied with what im enjoying in that area. The only main issue i have with this game is when you go into any options mode. Mainly when you check for your magic, weapons etc or even look at the quests screen n such. The game freezes every other time. Like a lock up and stop? I dont mean like you see "autosaving" i mean normally it does that buggish freeze lock and i have to hit the "B" to back out of there every other time a few times just to have to go back in again so the game will let me to continue scrolling through and choose what i want. Its a bit of a drag and annoying when you are fighting against a serious enemy more so.

So thats the patch i really really want the developers to look into. Again yes i have the 360 version and i love the game but theres lock up times in the option selection of the game during gameplay. It needs to be fixed. Thank you, happy holidays and fight on!

I don't think that's a bug. I thought it was too but I just realized that if you hold down the right anolog stick you can zoom in and out of your character by using the left anolog stick.

So basically, hold down the right anolog, then zoom in or zoom out with the left

No it's definitely a bug. I did mention 'first person' view, not third. The first person camera basically isn't high enough. In the case of the altmer it's like walking around with your eyes in your chest, I'm not sure how to better explain it. :D

Check it yourself. Stand next to a nord and you're clearly taller judging by the third person view, it's just the first person camera that isn't positioned correctly. Definitely an immersion breaker if you enjoy your first person gameplay.

Main quest bugged on Xbox 360 at: Season Unending

I walk in and talk to Arngeir and he says to take a seat.
I have sat in every single seat (and waited once there), but nothing happens. They keep saying they are waiting for me.
The quest "arrow" never moves to a particular seat, either, it stays above Arngeir.

I have reloaded previous saves to no avail.

I also cannot "Bypass" this by finishing the Civil War questline because I am on quest "Liberation of Skyrim"
But when I go to all the Stormcloak camps, the person I need to talk to (Galmar Stone-Fist) does not appear at any.

As an additional note, the "Liberation of Skyrim" quest has the "Show on map" option greyed out.

Kind of annoyed I cannot progress in the main quest after 55+ hours.
Please address these types of quest bugs in the next patch.

Items given to a follower register as stolen once taken back. Happened on 360 with item obtained as rewards from quests etc non actually stolen.

I am also having this issue. Specifically with Lydia, my only housecarl. I have found that this occurs with items that have been dropped for her to pick up, exploiting the infinite carry glitch. They are not considered to have been stolen in the Crime section of General Stats and, if they are given back to Lydia or dropped on the floor for her to pick up, they do not appear as stolen in her inventory. All the items actually traded to her before 1.2 patch are not considered stolen however any that have been "picked up" are marked as stolen when taken back.

Check your not actually "stuck" in crouch mode and pickpocketing by mistake. You can become stuck in crouch if you use objects while doing so (eg use enchanting table while crouched = stuck in crouch when in first person view).

Not the case as the dialogue options are all available and other NPCs can be talked to without entering their inventory.

Secondly, I am aslo unable to purchase the house from Raerek in Markarth. I know this has been mentioned before however I think it can be avoided if the player does not help the 5 people before talking to Igmund about becoming a Thane. I completed "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine" quest and killed Madanach before ever entering Understone Keep and I also had helped the 5 people required before being able to buy the house. I asked about becoming a Thane and there seemed to be a dialogue skip and the quest complete prompt thingo appeared saying that helping 5 people was complete. Igmund immediately started talking about buying a house however there was no longer an option about talking of becoming a Thane and talking to Raerek just prompted the standard responses of being Igmund's uncle, with no dialogue options. May be tied to the guards that are always looking to arrest me in the Shrine of Talos despite having been arrested before and having no bounty. Also, whenever I approach the Jarl, he is always engaged in the same conversation to Raerek about attacking the Forsworn where they live and Raerek replies that the Forsworn also live in the city. I have been able to talk to Raerek about work, receiving various bounties however no option to buy a house. Selecting the quest from the Miscellaneous does not show a marker anywhere.

Lastly, during loading screens and while looking at the inventory (whether it be during a sale or not), when changed to, some items tend to bug out and stretch across the screen quickly before returning to normal. No idea what causes this.

Here are some I have encountered recently that I don't see on the list:

- After defeating Ulfric you are prompted to report to the jarl of whiterun. Have talked to him several times and it doesn't do anything, or give any other conversations than the normal ones.

- After fast traveling occasionally have dragons right there attacking you the second the loading screen is up. (not sure if this is a glitch, but I have also had some warning before patch 1.2 or maybe that was just luck)

- Multiple dragons spawning at once. This has happened twice now. First time I fast traveled to a cave and four dragons spawned. One elder dragon that was immediately attacking me, another elder dragon and a frost dragon that circled around and started attacking me. (all three now attacking at the same time) Finally a regular dragon that circled at me but fell from the sky dead when it got close. The second time I fast traveled and two frost dragons were immediately attacking me.

I was looking at the Misc Quest objective "Investigate the Boethiah cultist" bug in which it does not go away even after completing the related Boethiah quest line.

I went back to a previous save in which I encountered the Boethiah cultist then saved just after killing him and getting the prompt to investigate his body. It seems that the objective is cleared from the list ONLY if the player takes the book and not read before taking it.

Trying this out in the PC version, the quest ID for this Misc objective is WEDA02. In that version of the game it is not possible to read the book from the body while looting but only take it from the body. On the 360 when reading the book on the body the quest (WEDA02) is marked completed but skips removing the related objective & marking it complete. It also goes straight into the Boethiah quest line (which is is quest ID DA02 on the PC). It looks like the scripting for the quest assumes that the player found the book without the cultist (like say going to the College of Winterhold library) and started the quest by reading it but does not take into account the possibility of a player reading the book on the body of the cultist while looting.

I hope this helps and I hope they can fix this for people who completed both the Boethiah quest lines (cultist and main).

This is a very intimidating list that I unfortunately have to add to. Sometime after becoming a werewolf, and having had used the power a few times already, about a week after the last time I used it, I tried to use it, and it kept telling me I could only use it once a day. If I hit the button several times in a second, it would let me transform anyway. This has continued happening since then.

There seems to be a bug with dragon souls, but maybe this is as per spec.

I had one dragon soul from killing the dragon in the 'Dragon Rising' quest.

Before completing 'The Way of the Voice' quest I had turned off my xbox and continued the next day.

When I turned my xbox back on my dragon soul was gone and could no longer complete 'The Way of the Voice' quest because I could not use 'Unrelenting Force' to demonstrate my shout to the greybeards.

Extremely annoying if this is as per spec.

Maybe an update wiped out my dragon souls?

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Thanks,
Trey

If any of these are on the list already, I apologize. I skimmed through all of the bugs and didn't see anything to do with these.

I have Skyrim installed on my Hard Drive, if that makes any difference at all.

AI issues: After any loading screen, NPCs will begin loading and popping in at complete random. Like they don't load in the loading screen (Noticed after 1.2).

AI issues: Merchants won't give me the option to buy/sell for about 10 - 20 seconds after finishing loading the area. For example, I go to Whiterun and I cannot buy/sell stuff to Adrianne Avenicci for about 10 - 20 seconds (After 1.2)

Sound issues: After leaving a loading screen, for about 10ish seconds if I take any action, the sound will play about 5 seconds later. For example, I open my quest log and no sound happens for about 5 seconds then it will make the sound of me opening my quest log. Happens with everything, NPC dialog included. (After 1.2)

Shout issue: This might be the same as one that is already listed, but I figured I'd post it anyways just in case. At complete random, I just won't be able to shout. At all. Only in combat, and it won't work until I completely exit combat. Has happened since I started playing. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or intended and I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. (Before 1.2)

Dual-Weild issue: Sometimes, this isn't common but it happens a lot, if I try to swing with both weapons, only the left one will swing. Only way to fix it is if I swing with the right hand, then swinging with both hands. (Before 1.2)

I doubt you'll read this, but the same thing happened to me. I sat at that table forever, only to realize that the Thalmor rep has to be there too, and she, for whatever reason, takes FOREVER to move her lazy butt up there and sit down. Just wait up there and she'll eventually show up and you can continue on.

Can not complete SIEGE ON THE DRAGON CULT QUEST. There is a problem with the Puzzle door that requires the Glass Claw None of the circles with the pictures will turn at all but you can but the Glass Claw in the keyhole, but without being able to turn the circles to match the pictures on the Glass Claw the door has become Completely IMPOSSIBLE to open rendering the Quest to be unable to complete.

Another quest bug is during Pantea's Flute. If you have already found found the flute previously before getting the quest, she won't recognize that you have the flute and you are unable to complete the quest.

    Bards College;
  • Bring back the Flute of Pantea
  • Bring back Rjorn's Drums
  • Bring back Finn's Lute

All of these quest items seems to remain in your inventory after completing the quests.
