Xbox 360 Bug Report Topic

Well I just notice this today but my character has what I can only describe as "glowing eyes" When I switch to 3rd person and pan the camera to my character's face right around the edges of his eyes is this light. Don't know what I did and I don't know how to get rid of it.

Ring door in Valthume Catacombs won't let me rotate the rings and after I went back to Valthume (main) and returned to the door the rings turned but the door did not open when activated. Boethia's Calling is glitched as well.

I had the same problem. Or rather have the same problem. I try to leave, Whiterun doesn't load, I just get a brownish screen followed by crash. One time I was able to get out by quickly going to map and fast traveling to the enterance to Whiterun, but this has only worked once. Since I've tried entering and leaving at later times but it'll freeze before I can even get the map open, so I gotta avoid the place completely now.

Update. I am still locked in Jorrvaskr. Whats worse is I even went out and exchanged it for a new copy and it still freezes no matter what door I use. I am losing my ****ing mind. I am level 53, spent +80 hours on this tun and am not about to start a new char. If I have to, I'm selling this game. The last closest save before Jorrvaskr was lvl 36 and all 3 auto-saves have been in Jorrvaskr. They had better fix this bug asap.

Recipe for Resist Frost Potion: Gourd, Fire Salts
Cannot add gourd to solution as it is a food item, not a reagent

My bugs include the following:

- Delvin Mallory will not accept any of the "Special Quest Items" (Queen Bee Statue, Bust of the Grey Fox, etc.) after the Thieves Guild main quest line is completed.
- Random misc. quests will not show up on my map (Give a healing potion to a skooma addict).
- The Bard's College instruments will not be removed from inventory even after completing the quest.
- Cannot get the Stone of Barenziah in Thalmor Embassy if past that part of the main quest (there is a workaround video on YouTube, but still).

Every town I enter the citizens attack me and the guards kill the entire town!!! All 9 holds do this. I can't do any quests or anything. Help???

I just had a really annoying bug on the 360 where my weapon attack animations drastically slowed down. As in, it would take a full 10 seconds for one attack animation to complete. I was dual wielding daggers and I've got the dual flurry perk maximised (if there's any chance of this causing the bug?). I also frequently use the elemental fury shout with this combination. Anyway, the problem only seemed to occur when dual wielding, and only to attacks involving the left hand weapon. I had to load my last save which was a full half hour backwards in order to fix the problem...

Quest: On the Thieves Guild mission 'Trinity Restored' I have to "meet Karliah at the standing stone" however when I get to the stone she is not there and nothing happens. Brynjoif is not at the stone either but is infact still in the Ragged Flagon and has no dialogue options. The quest marking is on the stone so its definitely where I have to go. Due to this bug I can not continue which the Thieves Guild questline.

My (multiple) characters appearances are not changing when contracting full Vampirism. I get the text informing me of the alteration and the bluish hue on the character but no facial change. Eyes etc.

-Tresure Maps chests no longer spawn after getting and opeing the maps the tresure chest don't spawn in the locations indicated by the maps so far i've check maps i,iii,iv. Im at the right locations because they were working in my first play though pre 1.2

This is not a major bug but a few buildings in Windhelm are not solid, meaning you can walk through them and see underneath the map. One house in the rich district of the city is very buggy like this.

When doing a finishing move if a draugr shouts at you and forces your character to be blown around. The camera is stuck in the finishing move camera setting until another finishing move is completed. You can not load, fast travel, save/reload to get it to reset.

It is basically a stationary camera that doesn't move and you can move the player around even go off screen to get the camera to focus back on the player but still stuck you open the menu until it moves to player.

Its quit fun and would make for some great videos but still a bad bug.

Oh and because I didn't see it, After curing vampirism I still have the active effects of less fire resistance and more frost resistance.

Okay here's my list of glitches:

1) Main Quest Line: Getting Ulfric to go to the Peacetalks. His general guy repeatedly says how he's amazed that Ulfric agreed to attend, but the quest shows that I still have to get Ulfric to go. No more Main Quest line for me until this is fixed.

2) Trying to get Proudspire Manor: Cannot get that quest line to trigger. I talked to the bartender at Winking Skeever for rumors, and he mentions to go to the Solitude court. I get there, and there's no action going on. The guy that's supposed to be talking to the Jarl is just standing there, and there's no other dialogue option with any of the people present that can get the quest to trigger. I've tried this at all hours of the day and no effect.

3) Doing a Numbers Job for Devin, Helga's place in Riften, I went to change the books but the ledger was not in the same spot as indicated by the quest marker. Could not actually complete that quest, and had to reload game save so Devin could give me a new random Numbers Job.

4) Most dragon encounters are fine, but I did have one that went backwards.

5) When I "wait" for nightfall or daybreak, the people get a bit glitchy. I waited until 2am so I could go on a stealing rampage, and people were not in their homes at all. Then suddenly a person popped into the bedroom of this house in Whiterun and sounded the alarm. I find that when I time-wait through the "go to work"/"go home" times of day, I have to just stand and wait for the game to trigger people to either go to work or go in their home and go to sleep.

6) I read on the internet that cleared caves and such are supposed to reset after 1 month of game time. I have 2 that reset, but most either never reset or partially reset. This affects my ability to mine ores to make my gear.

Game has frozen several times after reaching 90+ hours in the game. I did not have this problem before I hit 90+ hours. Also I didn't have this issue before I updated to the new 360 dashboard. Not sure if it is an hour issue or the new dashboard causing freezes in the game.

I froze on several quests. Had to shut down the 360, restart and then continue where I left off. Most major freeze recently came from trying to complete the Dark Brotherhood quest line Death Incarnate. I get to the point where the Dark Mother tells you to get into her coffin. I do and then she tells my character to sleep and the character goes to sleep. Then the screen fades to black and freezes up. It does not load the next scene. I restarted the 360 and loaded a save just prior to that and it continuously freezes at that point.

This is a game breaking bug. Patch version 1.1

Entering Markath the first time with the character, (no bounty, civil war quest or other factors that should affect hostility. Entered "normally" travelling, not by carriage to stables or the quest that wakes you up in Dibellas temple)
Happens to me after witnessing Weilyn kill Margret and getting the note, whether reading the note to start the Forsworn Conspiracy quest in journal or not:
-Vigilant Tyrannus is agressive on sight and loops his dialogue about "have you seen anyone enter or leave this house", & "thankyou for your assistence" while attacking. Sometimes when reloading Tyrannus does not appear at all.
- In Understone Keep the Jarl, his guards and the Thalmor are hostile too. Either the Jarls housecarl or a guard close to him appeared to be waiting with drawn sword even before aware of the player.

Since the 1.2 patch I would say my textures are sorted to their best but with a price.
I notice a lot more stuttering in the framerate, objects pop up more then before especially in the wilderness, entering a new area (town,house,dungeon etc) it might take the textures a few seconds to load,

Pre 1.2 Patch

Location = Deadman's Respite

Quest = Lost Verse of King Olaf

Glitch = Ruby Claw Puzzle door combination wheels refuse to turn, therefore stuck in that area as cant backtrack to entrance due to method of accessing lower levels. Quest requirements all completed...only exit is through this Puzzle Door

Only thing that works on the door is putting the Ruby Claw in and triggering the booby traps, none of the code wheels will turn despite the onscreen prompt to do so. Doesnt matter how many times I reload the same quest from two different saves, Door remains glitched and no solution online

Also, can restart the quest for the Staff of Magnus, but I can't tell him I have the staff even though it's in my inventory.

Alduin's Wall - Main quest. If you visit the temple before the quest and happen to solve the draw bridge puzzle randomly, you will not be able to complete the main quest. Alduin and Esbern get stuck at the first puzzle that has already been solved. They simply won't procede and accompany you to the inside of the temple. Personally, I'd lose about 20 hours of gameplay if I were to reload a save prior to first visiting the temple. Please fix!

I am experiencing game freezes in the game. The game has frozen three times for me sense the 1.2 patch (I had problems pre 1.2 as well). The freezes seams to be random in regarding to place. The only thing I have noticed that they all have in common are that the when the game has frozen I have always killed an enemy precisely before it the game freezes.

The first two times it froze immediately after killing an enemy with a destruction spell and I my haste I send another spell when the enemy is down and the game freezes.

The third time I had just killed an enemy with a lightning destruction spell and maybe a half a second later I was changing the active spell by the pressing the left speed button to assign my healing spell instead.

I didn't find this description when searching for freezes as the freezes already described seams to refer to specific locations in the game. But from what I can tell my problems are not associated by a specific location, but instead associated with killing an enemy somehow, maybe with magic, I don't know as I almost always use magic to kill my foes.

Edit: I'm level 32. More than 60 hours into the game. I have had these problems both before the X360 dashboard upgrade and after. I have also had these problems before and after the 1.2 patch. I contacted their official support but only got a reply that I should wait for the 1.2 patch, which obviously didn't help. Form what I can remember I have had these problems from the beginning. I'm also using the PAL version as I live in Sweden.

The head piece that goes to the Ancient Dark Brotherhood armor called The Ancient Shrouded Cowl that you get for going to Deepwood Redoubt and Hag's End does not equip properly. When I put it on instead of having a cowl over my character's head like the regular Dark Brotherhood armor, it makes the top half of my characters head bald, while the lower half where her hair is longer is still there. It looks really ugly and stupid.

This is on patch version 1.1

1.2 patch

Location = Nightgate Inn

Quest = Recipe for Disaster

Glitch = Balagog is already dead when I enter the cellar. The Writ of Passage is not on his body or in any container, instead the quest marker indicates its located in the somewhere in the wall of the Inn itself. No way to complete the quest so I have to give up on the Dark Brotherhood side-quests.

On Xbox 360, there is a quest involving the Strange Amulet I think the quest is called Blood on the Ice? The amulet is best recognized by the moldy blue-green skeletal face in the main setting. You can take the amulet to the man who runs the den of strange things in Windhelm. He appraises it for you and offers you 500 septims for it... do it, and THEN pick his pocket to get it back. I have no programming skill, but shouldn't the dialogue option to sell the stone to him disappear after you sell it to him? This can be done a seemingly infinite amount of times. I tested it and was able to accumulate 30,000 septims before i got bored of it.

Also, I ran through Alfthand (Dwemer ruins)completing a part of the main quest line and cleared the dungeon out. Now I have a permanent graphic of steam (not frost) spurting out of my entire body. All directions. As if I'm a moving Dwemer steam engine. Exiting to Dashboard didn't resolve the issue.
