Miscellaneous quest wont complete even though ive completed it! :(

Quest: Locate Reyda's Remains

Problem: It tells me to talk to Wilhelm about reyda but he has no dialog option to do so.

I completed this quest about 6 hours of game play ago and it was stuck there before and after the new 1.2 patch. ive tried talking to him and narfi again and nothing.

Side Quest: The Pursuit : 'Discover evidence of Mercer's location' objective won't update once I pick up Mercer's plans. I had already found them once, but I had put them back before starting the quest in the hope it would work ...

When your doing this is it with the 1 and 2 numbers attached to the weapons? I have a dual wield character who has no trouble getting both weapons out. They are assigned to 1 (d-pad left) and my bow is set on 2 (d-pad right).

The "unequpped" slot (ie d-pad left twice) will automatically switch to the last item used. So if you have a torch left hand and a spell it will revert to that, but IT IS NOT an assigned slot.

When I do this the steel daggers have a number 2 by them in the favorite menu. I'm talking about I go into my favorite menu by pressing up on the d-pad to open it up. Then I go and switch to say the flames spell and equip the flames spell to both hands for dual casting of the flames spell. When I go to switch back to the daggers I can only equip one. The game automatically unfavorites the second dagger. I have to go back into the weapons submenu to re-quip and then favorite the second dagger again. What part of this do you not get?

Has the new patch fixed the follower carry weight issues? I know that many people have reported that the game re-adds invisible inventory to your followers every time you hire them, causing their overall carrying capacity to diminish.



Oh, and did the problem with the Markath guards respawning in the temple of Talos get fixed as well? (They are always hostile when I go there even though I have finished the Forsworn quest.)

I can't even load into skyrim anymore...last night I was playing perfectly fine, and now today after the patch, I load my last saved game, and it just sits in the loading screen forever. Can't load into the game at all. This is great.

I've tried using other saves, and clearing my cache and trying to re-download the patch. Nothing worked.

Ok i played from disc, installed the patch then installed the game. (Didn't cleared the cache)

Bugs I can confirm on 360 after 1.2 Patch so far:

- Summoned fire atronach has no fire resistance
- Some inventory and environment objects still have the low res textures [FIXED]
- Markarth house weapon/shield plagues and racks still not working
- Gauntlets of the Old Gods are invisible while equipped [FIXED]

Bugs solved after 1.2 Patch so far:

- Markarth Guards dead bodies are removed properly (after "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine" quest)

EDIT:

Clearing the cache solved the texture issues I've had so far. (After clearing the cache the patch will be installed again.)

Game is installed on HDD. Btw the game now really looks more crisp with the patch.(yes I played from game disk before)
But I experience more tearing than before, for example in markarth.

Even after installation of patch 1.2 I am still finding that some dragons still do not absorb properly. This was supposedly fixed by the patch.

Occasionally during the time slow down while blocking the world stays in slow down time. Entering Menu will solve this SOMETIMES.

Quests:

Side:
If you leave the Twilight Sepulchre during "Darkness Returns" when you come back the stone door will not open making it impossible to complete the Theives Guild Questline.

AI:

Non-Follower NPCs:
After finishing his quest multiple versions of Louis Letrush appear outside Whiterun Stables. Sometimes even stuck in the ground.

Cure Disease potions no longer showing in the inventory or in storage.

To be sure, I crafted one at an alchemy table. It doesn't show up.
...
/EPICFAIL.

I think your doing something wrong then because my cure disease potions are fine, as is my new ones. Ive got 3 in hand from pre-patch and just made another 2 for a test and all 5 are showing in my inventory.

The Thieves Guild quest line is not progressing. Karliah is stuck in the basemant of The Frozen Hearth and won't go to the Ragged Flaggon and I cannot trigger the Blood on the Ice quest. Also, I've noticed some problems with sprinting and shouts not working as/when they should. Sometimes when you are crouched and do an action (like mining or open a chest or something) you stand up and you keep moving at sneak speed. It requires a few clicks of the joystick to move at normal speed again. Also, it seems like my sneakiness is not as effective now that I've maxed it out against even average characters like normal bandits. I don't know if that's a glitch or not, but they detect me almost instantly outside, even if it's night.

The only glitches that I really even care about are the quest glitches. The game is really great guys and I just want to make sure that I say thanks for all the hard work and fixing the problems that have been discovered.

I don't know if this is a bug or if it was purposely implemented, but my Stamina regeneration enchantments don't seem to work in combat. The whole point of having the enchantment was so i could perform more power attacks then I would without it.. This leads me to believe that all of my armor/accessory enchantments are nullified when in combat...

My followers won't perform any action I ask of them. I've asked them to wait, pick up items, attack, etc and there is no response. They just stand around. I've switched NPCs between merc and various other characters and they all react the same.

I can still give them items and they will equip.

I noticed this while in the middle of the quest "Boethiahs Calling".

BARBAS (A DAEDRA'S BEST FRIEND) NOT STARTING Quest is initiated but fails to go any further: I spoke with Lod, persuaded him to give me the meat and some coin. I then left the town and thought nothing of it as this was early on in my Skyrim experience. I came back later to perform said quest (much later, like level 50) and the marker is on the road just outside of the town. Nothing happens once there. I have waited and waited. So I thought it might have been that he gave me meat (though for the life of me I couldn't remember what kind) so I went and obtained some meat. Horse meant, dog meat, leg of lamb, EVERY possible meat in the game, even ox head! I returned to the spot and still nothing. I heard no strange barking anywhere nearby. I dropped all the meat on the spot thinking that might start it and still nothing. So I have a quest that is then unbeatable. What is happening here?

Dungeon Quest Angarvunde: Medresi Dran and the Wandering Dead/Misc Quest: Find the Source of Power in Angarvunde; Bugged after I pulled the second lever to open the main gate, Medresi ran in and got killed like she was supposed to, but left me with the objective to "Return to Medresi" and then I couldn't complete the next objective to "Discover the treasure of Angarvunde" or to even get the word from the word wall and the objective "Find the Source of Power in Angarvunde."

Blade's Quest: Dragon Research; Gave him the scale and bone, got the potion, didn't receive any benefits from the potion and quest objective didn't go away.

Thane of the Rift; I befriended the city first, did the Jarl quests, bought the house, upgraded it, now I'm left with the objective to "Return to the Jarl," without that speach option showing up on her.

I think that's it... so far. All of these occurred pre-1.2, so I got my hopes up thinking 1.2 was going to fix them... nope. Checked them all again and still broken. So my question is, why is Bethesda even ATTEMPTING to fix small, non-quest problems like textures upgrading, or projectiles not properly fading away, or dragon corpses not cleaning up properly, and a crap load of other small stuff when they should be fixing quest bugs? Just throwing that out there.

Thieves guild Larceny Targets glitch.

There is a glitch after you get the last of the larceny objects, both eyes of Falmer, when you take them back to Devlin the speach dialogue isn't there so unable to complete quest.

After completing thieves guild quest line to a certain point I am given the option to upgrade my armor. I sold it a while ago and can't become the guild master because of this. The thieves guild fence won't give me my guild master armor until I give her at least one piece of the original armor to be upgraded. She also stops working as a fence.

Hi there.

Two problems I've noticed so far that are really annoying:

1) Cleared Folgunthur and reached the part at the end where I should be able to absorb a Shout. I hear the loud chanting and the wind, however there is no highlighted scripting on the wall. Nothing!

2) When I select a miscellaneous quest, there is no arrow to show me where to go.

Cant talk nor interact with the Wretched Abyss in the quest " Discerning the Transmundane " I can leap onto then over it then complete the quest but said abyss wont disappear thus leaving me trapped inside.

Dragons flying backwards
Dragons flying through mountains or the ground
Sometimes there is no rendering of objects at all (happened at a waterfall, it looked like a big flat and blue piece of cardboard (game is installed))

Quest

In the side quest "Forbidden Legend", the first puzzle door in Reachwater Rock will not open. Grabbed the emerald dragon claw from the plinth and examined for the combination, but it will not open. Saved, reloaded, left, came back, no change. It still does the animation with the claw being inserted and the middle circle turning, but no combination works, even the correct one.

This was still with the 1.1 version. Have not installed game to Xbox hard drive.

Misc

Eldersblood Peak Word Wall not functioning properly, chants and rushing sound can be heard, but cannot learn the "Disarm" word that should be there.

*Frozen flaming catapult projectiles

After the Battle for Whiterun, I noted that a few houses (and other places just outside the city) have what appear to be flaming catapult projectiles seemingly frozen in time, hovering just over their mark. Kinda cool, but rather detracts from the immersion factor. They're not going away anytime soon it seems, without perhaps some sort of fix or a new playthrough..


*Cannot move in with Brelyna Maryon (marriage candidate)

Compared to the broken quests, texture issues, backwards dragons, and resistance bugs, this is not at all a priority concern, but I've noted that I cannot receive 'Lover's Comfort' or safely move in to Brelyna's home. Likely due to the fact that she does not have a home per se, but rather, a room in the College of Winterhold. I'm only on one play-through and have not tested any of the other possible spouses, so I don't know if this is related to the bug, but everything in her room is off-limits to me (counts as stealing), including her bed.

She relocates just fine; she will move back into the college or my Breezehome successfully, but I can't acquire the 'Lover's Comfort' buff due to not being able to sleep in her bed - which, by itself, seems like a minor bug - does it really have to be the spouse's own bed first, before that will work? Should give the buff regardless of which bed you share, in my opinion...

Ok, so, I've gotten master Conjuration and learned the thrall spells. Awesome fun. I was playing around with the "Dead Thrall" (perma-raise dead) spell, and now I have 4 active effects glued to me for what looks like 23,962 more game hours.... No biggie, except now everyone in Skyrim fears my deadly talents. I can't walk past anyone at all really without hearing them comment on my (absent) zombie pal (see topic title). Summoning new things does not help. I have no thralls following me anymore, just a stuck game effect.

From what I can tell the other three spells are safe, I've summoned a few elemental thralls, and no effects stuck relating to them.

Loving the game by the way. Looking forward to some (working) patches, patiently.
