Quest markers occasionaly take time (longer than usual) to register. Ex. Quest: go to this location. You wait there for awhile/ exit than reenter the area to trigger the next stage.

miscellaneous quest tracking aint working for me wtf but the main quest tracker is working

Make sure that both the main "Miscellaneous" quest group and each of the individual quests you want marked are activated/marked/whatever-you-call-it-when-you-press-the-A-button-and-the-little-dealio-turns-on. This threw me off too for a while until I accidentally pressed over on the joystick while "Miscellaneous" was highlighted. Hope this helps.

Two problems I have encountered,
During Alduin's Wall I fast traveled to Karthspire and Esbern disappeared and I cannot continue with the main quest line
I also cannot complete the Thieves Guild quest Under New Management, I have to return Tonilia and retrieve my Guild Leader Armor but I do not have my previous Thieves Guild armor and cannot complete the quest or the Thieves Guild, is there any way to get new armor?

So after I calmed down I decided I would play from the start like I intended to but avoiding any items/potions/perks related to resistances.
Playing as a male imperial (no racial bugged resistance), light armour, with sword and shield (minus elemental resistance) would give me a good game at least.
So anyway here is what I found after playing for 3/4 hours non stop with Whiterun and Solitude the only cities visited,

Pro's:

- textures on hands/gauntlets/weapons have improved along with furniture and in game maps (jarls house) etc.
- the game does have a sharper look overall to it especially at night.
- only fought the first (scripted) dragon but it was flying correctly.

Con's : (all these cons are things I had not experienced pre 1.2 patch)

- elemental resistance gone.
- screen tearing at the intro and in Whiterun.
- moments of lag and item/scenary pop up/in again mostly in whiterun ( house pillars/river stream by the female smiths workstation) but also in the wild (trees/towers/animals).
- shadows are more flickery then before and some go through walls (the first quest for the imperials/clearing the fort/inside the fort).
- out in the wild the weather is different then before, at the tower before bleak falls if I took one step forward it was clear skies but one step back it was a blizzard? (no smooth transition like pre 1.2 patch?)
- a lot more people merging with walls/furniture/steps then I had pre patch.
- fighting bandits is very unpredictable now, what I mean is one time I killed a bandit and he yielded because his health was down to 5% but when I hit him again he stood up with full health and one shotted me?
- enemy npc's and animals will mostly just stay still even if they detect you until you hit them?
- at the start when you are escaping and there is a large fight after the torture room a dead enemy npc was actually standing up dead?
- all npc's have a white glowy lining around the shape of their bodies? Is it a new graphic/weather effect I didn't notice before?

So to sum up, the graphics are sharper but it seems at the cost of game stability.
Pre 1.2 patch I had a few bad textures but the game was solid, now it is reversed?
I hope this gets noticed and added to whatever list there is for fixes but I won't hold my breath.

My menus are slowed down to a crawl, same thing for selling items. Loading saved games takes 10X longer than usually.

Quest "Joining the Legion" Clear out Fort Hraggstad cannot be completed. After arriving at the fort and killing all the bandits, the quest deactivates and will not go active again. Additionally, despite the fort now being empty, it does not complete or allow for any further continuation of the quest.

So I know the OP asked not to report the same bugs twice but I'm not about to comb through 5 pages of crap to see if my particular problems have already been reported on this page. Firstly i will post the glitch that prompted my research of the glitch and eventual sign up to this sight.

The Nightingale Blade cannot be upgraded at the grindstone, now that just really, really grinds my gears because the thing is just so damn cool looking and webcombing has brought to my attention that the bow and armor can all be upgraded.

This one has already been posted, but bards college instruments are not able to be removed from inventory and that just svcks cause I personally like to keep a well organized inventory to maximize the amount of "booty" i can carry and then subsequently sell.

This one really bothered me and I was only able to figure it out after i talked to a friend who had already completed the main quest. After returning from Sovngarde and talking to Paarthunax about how badass you are for destroying Alduin, the quest doesn't tell you to go to the arcaneum in the mage's college to give the orc librarian the elder scroll. That one specifically grinded my gears cause the damn thing weighs 20 pounds and as I said before, I like to keep a well organized inventory for "booty" maximization.

Another one for quest items that cannot be removed, even though these all weigh nothing it's just not cool to leave these things sitting around like this. The Runed Lexicon and The Attenuation Sphere from the main questline, and The Strange Amulet from the butcher questline in Windhelm. Unless there is an unsaid location to bring these to such as the elder scroll, these items all seem to just take up space for no reason.

I also cannot seem to add a second enchantment to items even tho i have the perk to do so, i wasted all that time making daggers and enchanting them just so the final perk won't work? this is unacceptable.

There are also various dealings with people and item interactions that all seem like they should trigger a miscellaneous quest that do not do such a thing. Three examples of such are finding Rune from the thieves guild's true identity, receiving a dragon claw from the general goods merchant in Winterhold her name escapes me at the moment, and recovering the journal from the waterlogged chest in the Wreck of The Pride of Tel Vos.

Overall I would have to say that this is the best game I have ever played, but these small problems that I have mentioned and that the multitude of other gamers on this thread and forum have mentioned all take away from the playability and re-playability of the game. Extensive cross platform testing is most likely required before launch of your products but might not be implemented for patches. Please be conscious of us gamers before you put something out when you might not be aware of problems that you can potentially cause.

Not certain if this has already been reported (and if it has my apologies) but:

- Ran into a Dragon near Drelas' Cottage at the foot of the mountain. Now while the reverse flying dragon did not occur, once I killed the Dragon, it however did not dissolve and grant a soul. The corpse of the Dragon still remains, though it is one very dead dragon.

Summary:

- One dead dragon, looting possible, dissolving does not occur therefore not granting a soul.

The bookshelves in Whiterun have completely quit working for me if I try to add more books, or remove books by selecting the bookshelf, and removing the books from the list. The only way I can remove a book is by selecting an individual book from the bookshelf, and select take book. But after doing that I am unable to add new books to the shelf. I don't own any other house in the game, so I don't know if other bookshelves do it too.

I have been keeping up to date on all the various bugs in the game, and wasn't afflicted too badly by any of them until now.

Basically, Delphine will not give me the quest A Cornered Rat after completing the quest Diplomatic Immunity. After checking all over different Skyrim forums I have come to find that several players are having this same issue. A common link is that each of us spoke with Brynjolf and initiated A Chance Arrangement with him or any of the various Thieves Guild quests past that. Basically, if you've spoken to Brynjolf and initiated any of his quests before you attempt to complete Diplomatic Immunity, you cannot get A Cornered Rat from Delphine, and thus cannot progress the MAIN QUEST LINE.

I have put over 200 hundred hours into Fallout 3, 100 hours into Oblivion, and my main character whom this glitch concerns is a level 44. Bethesda, I love the company and the games you make and I've come to expect that with games this large in scope, bugs and glitches are unavoidable, but this is the first time I've ever really felt cheated by one of your games. I have no saves to go back to that aren't literally more than 20 levels back. I spoke to Brynjolf very early in the game. I'm too demoralized to even create a new character. I know part of this is because I love the content of the game so much and I have was having so much fun, and now a huge part of that is being restricted. It really took all the wind out of the game's sails for me. I don't want to throw the baby out with the bath water but I'm so paranoid about some game breaking glitch ruining my gaming experience that as I stated, even creating a new character at this point seems like more of a risk than a good investment of my rec time.

Just thought I'd let you guys at Bethesda know my thoughts and for anyone else whose game is broken off this glitch, I feel your pain. I hate starting and finishing main quests early with my characters, so I usually start them much later at higher levels. I guess this is what I get, ha.

Before the patch, I had texture issues, but no other issues that bothered me.

Post patch, the game is so laggy for me that it is unplayable: sometimes right when I load the savegame, sometimes about five minutes after.

Also ran into a dragon near its lair - Ive forgotten the name of the location, but its the one with the runes "Frost, Frost Breath" The Dragon is consistently flying backwards or hovering in place - it hovers so long that I can get it down to about 1/3 health before it moves, backwards, elsewhere. At one point it got its head and forequarters stuck in the wall where the rune was. It never attacks me, but does breath fire in random places as it flies around.

Casting Chain Lightning with both hands at once (Duel Casting Perk) causes an audio bug. The sound is choppy and very annoying. One handed chain lightning casts operate normally.

Ctrl-F'd and didn't get any hits

ELEMENTAL FURY AUDIO GLITCH!!! Apparently after using Elemental Fury shout (after doing a little research, this is my conclusion), sometimes the audio gets glitched into an infinite loop of mountain-top-wind-like sound effects. It starts off a minor annoyance but very rapidly progresses to the point where I don't want to spend more than 10 minutes at a time on something I've put 70 hours into. When load screens are a welcome break, that's a problem.

Thank you for maintaining this thread

Using the Dead Thrall spell causes a permanent effect in your "Active Effects" The effect as an extremely high number of hours remaining. Its in the thousands

The Problem:
Even after your Thrall is dead, the effect is still present. This causes every NPC in the game to greet you with some variation of: The spell being dangerous and to get away from them. Very annoying and not a single NPC says something besides this as their greeting.

I'm experiencing a problem with a non removable quest item that wasn't mentioned. I can't remove the Alto-Wine from the Thieves Guild quest (early on with the Argonian).

- boethia quest: boethia appears but i cant talk to her
- hiricine quest: if you dont kill the white deer immediately, it may teleport to an unreachable area of the map
- house in windhelm: if you wanna buy the "clean up the murderers mess" option last, its not there anymore and youre stuck with the bodies in your house.
- misc: clearing some skooma dealers lair before you get that task from the jarl of riften will break the quest and make it impossible to become thane of riften.

-Can't remove "strange amulet" for Blood on the Ice quest.
-Can't remove briar heart for Repairing the Phial quest, since this can't be removed the quest can't be completed.
-Can't remove Runed Lexicon after taking it from Septimus Signus's dead body when Discerning the Transmundane is completed.
-Bookshelves can't be accessed with the recent patch.
-With the recent patch the game has much more lag.
-With the recent patch the load screens take much longer.
-The favorites menu and the inventory menu don't always allow you to navigate and requires you to enter and exit multiple times before it will allow you to do so.

1) High-speed wind sound can "stick," causing it to loop for, as far as I was able to experience before it drove me insane, forever. Would play the sound inside a house, in a cave... anywhere. Was extremely loud and annoying.

More info here: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1275274-horrendous-audio-glitch/page__p__19293389#entry19293389

2) Quick Reflexes will sometimes lead to 1-to-1.5 minute long periods of slow motion. I also had one occurrence where it lasted for 3, but that was unusually long.

More info here: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1283390-quick-reflexes-against-dwing-enemy-glitch/page__p__19374039#entry19374039 (it's not only DWing enemies -- it can be anyone. Even had it happen on dragons.)

I am having issues with the Thieves Guild Quest not loading Dampened Spirits. After I finished Loud and Clear instead of allowing me to go to Maven Black-Briar as Brynjolf ordered to do the Dampened Spirits Quest, it just sets me to the Quest called 'No Stone Unturned, which I encountered a glitch with that dang quest as well, and I have 'become a full member of thieves guild' under my no stone unturned quest objective which is why I think I cant get the Dampened Spirits quest, as apparently im not a full member yet, but I am a full member already!
I am worried about it, couse I wanna finish the Guild quests.. Patch please!

Cure Disease potions no longer showing in the inventory or in storage.

To be sure, I crafted one at an alchemy table. It doesn't show up.
...
/EPICFAIL.
Same thing for me. All of my cure disease potions have been removed from my inventory and newly created ones don't appear.

Thane Of Riften quest is bugged.

I have done all the skooma trade quest line, done more than 5 tasks for citizens and have bought and fully furnished Honeyside...have "speak to the Jarl of Riften" in my "to do list" under Miscellaneous tasks but when I do, no new dialogue options open and she responds with a canned dialogue about me being helpful to have around.
I had this bug before the 1.2 patch and still getting it with the patch. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
