XBox 360 controller LS and RS reverse after completing FNV

Post » Sun Aug 01, 2010 8:53 am

After completing the storyline in Fallout: New Vegas, my controller functions change whenever I play a saved game. I couldn't find anything in the Forums posted on this topic. More specifically, the function of the Left anolog Stick and Right anolog Stick are reversed. Instead of moving my character with the Left Stick and looking around with the Right Stick, I am only able to Look with the Left Stick and Move with the Right Stick. The condition persists with different controllers, and different profiles. If I start a new game, the controller functions fine, until, I save the game and reload it.

Has anyone reported a problem like this one?... is there a hardware/software setting I'm missing? If I have missed something, then I must have gotten hit with the Tard stick in my sleep.

Nope. No other games. New Vegas is the only game this has happened in. The funny part is that there is no way I can try a workaround cause the contoller settings in the game (as I'm sure you know) allows the user to customize every other button except the LS and RS setting.
No one else has encountered this issue? D*mn, I really would prefer not to wipe FNV from my 360's hard drive and start over. Let me tell you, it's a real struggle trying to play FNV with the anolog stick functions reversed, not to mention... it svcks.

Thanks for the reply petsounds. If this hasn't ever happened to anyone ever and, if I don't get this resolved by the time this post runs out, I guess I'll end up proceeding with hard drive wipe.... D*mmit, I was 5 achievements short of getting them all too...

Maybe you could check the options in your 360 profile, and reverse the sticks in there?

Yes.... I'm sure of it now....
I was definately hit in the head with the (re)Tard stick, and maybe it wasn't in my sleep afterall......... That was an excellent answer to my question, and it was also the solution. Switching the anolog stick setting in my user profile worked. Thank You, Sir Tystreme.
