Xbox 360 Patch 10/22

Post » Sun Aug 23, 2009 7:58 pm

Automatically downloaded the latest as of 10/22 Xbox 360 game patch, and as soon as I try to use VATS, the game crashes instantly. I've tried 3 separate times in 3 desperate locations in Fallout NV and have had the same problem. I can't remove the Game Cash because I have the Classic Back Downloaded and it will make those items unusable. Thoughts?

The Classic Pack is a Canteen, a Jumpsuit, and a Pistol. I'm sure you have adequate replacements for those things. If you want to troubleshoot the problem properly, you might consider removing the Classic Pack, clearing the cache, and checking to see if it persists. If it does, you can always just re-download the classic pack from Download History in Account Maintenance.

DLC is saved to your HDD, clearing the cache will not affect them, or at least should not.
Anyway you can redownload anything from the 360 dash that you have already downloaded. Even code only items.

Update, this issue seems to have been resolved, thank you for your comments. I had to clear the system cash on the Xbox, delete the Classic Pack and even play offline for a little bit. At 9:29 tonight I signed back on, patched the game, and everything worked. Proceeded to reinstall the classic pack and everything is a green light for now. Fingers crossed.

Had the same problem. Got the game for Xbox 360, it was glitchy. Applied the patch and after that the game crashed every time VATS was engaged. It also crashed a couple of times on loading screens.

Used the advice in this post to fix the VATS issue. Thanks for the help, forumers.

Unfortunately the game wasn't so easily fixed. Loaded from save, took a few steps, character got stuck in a rock.

Restarted again. It's working at this second, but after applying the patch, we had 12 crashes in about 25 minutes, and 1 (so far) glitch requiring restart after removing the patch.

We bought the limited edition of F:NV and it's been glitching and crashing nonstop. The patch only made things worse, what is that about? VERY disappointed.
