Xbox 360 or PS3?

I own both consoles and I was wondering which one I should use to play Skyrim. Please give your views.

You should use your PC. Mods, and a much greater capacity for graphics- speed and gameplay. End of Discussion

I also own both consoles but I'll wait for more info on the game before I make a decision.

By the way, has it even been confirmed that it'll be available on consoles?

I am afraid I don't own a very powerful PC, and I don't imagine it could play Skyrim.

I can't imagine it mattering all that much, there isnt any incredible difference between either console for a single player game, none worth arguing about at least.

Same with me. Mine can't even play Oblivion, so I highly doubt I could even put the Skyrim disc into it without breaking the stupid thing.

I'd go with the 360. I don't know what it is, but for some reason multi-platform games always look worse to me on the PS3.

Why on earth would it not be released to consoles? It is top on the wanted list for 2011 on ps3 game sites, where uncharted 3 comes as third or something.

So yes it will come to consoles.

You must think about this when choosing to which you want it:

Which controler do you like more? Xbox360 or PS3? That will be your answer.

Why don't we address the question he posed rather than use it as an excuse to push your own personal agenda? ;)

OP: It depends. Historically TES has been entirely single-player, and this installment hasn't yet hinted that it'll be any different in thay regard, so it really comes down to personal preference. As someone who owns both, take it from me: the two consoles are theoretically capable of accomplishing most of the same things. Unless Bethesda screws up development on one of the platforms, the only real differences between the two are differences you could already address now. Things like controls, online systems, etc.

So, if have a preference, go with your gut for now. Otherwise, wait to see how the game shapes up (and if there's any sort of online functionality) before finalizing your decision - it's the safest bet, really.

I have to pick the 360 because I don't own a PS3. I'll probably get it for 360 1st then a year or two later get the GOTY edition for PC or the 360 depending if there are any issues with bugs like the Reference Bug in Shivering Isles that makes it unplayable after +150 hours unless you've got the patch.

Go 360. Bethesda's games always look better and play better on it. I'm not a really devoted fan, but anyone who has had issues with PS3 problems knows exactly what I am talking about. Oh, and my 360 recently died so I have no love for MS right now.

If you can, really get it on PC.

You get unlimited content due to mods, and future proof graphics.

Exhibit A:

Morrowind on my PC

Morrowind on Xbox

PC was out of the question, I think he gets the point. :P

Overall I've heard more complaints from PS3 users than Xbox 360 users when it comes to Oblivion and Fallout 3, so it might be safer to go with the Xbox 360 if you can choose. Content/quality wise there shouldn't be a difference.

Get a job and buy a computer.1000$ investment will give you decent computer that'll run every game that will come out in the next 5 years better than consoles.
With mods and free updates you'll get your moneys worth every time.

I'm getting it for 360.

1. I prefer the controller.
2. Multi-platforms usually looks better on the Xbox.
3. I don't own a PS3... yet.

Go with your gut instincts, man. :turned:

Hey guys, here's a helpful hint. STOP SAYING PC!

I know a lot of PC players (I am one of them, but I also use the 360) like to stuff our "superiority" down other people's throats but give it a rest. He wants to choose between 360 and PS3. Obviously PC is out of the question.

He bought both an Xbox 360 and a Playstation 3.

PC is not out of the question for someone who can afford to do that.

And I'm not stuffing superiority down anyone's throat, I just dont want him to be disappointed about not being able to use mods like I was before I switched.

if you can't get a PC, i suggest you wait for professional reviews to see which version (ps3 or 360) runs and looks better.

Until then noone knows.

I'm going with the 360. Nothing like a controller in my hand, a big comfy couch and a big screen tv.

I'd love to get the PC version but my lap top can't even run Morrowind. :P

If you can get a PC, get it. If not, I'd have to go with Xbox, since multi-platform games tend to look a bit better and be less buggy.
Maybe if you sell one of those consoles you can invest it in a really nice gaming PC
