Post here man

I did. Hopefully it gets to them quicker that way and allows them to start working on a fix immediately. I hope it's a quick fix...and one that doesn't kill people's saves.

This happened to me.I tried deleting the DLC,clearing my cache and then reloading a save from 3 hours earlier to do everything again...then it happens again. Now pretty much ALL if my saves are glitched. This is ridiculously game breaking, and needs to be fixed ASAP.

There is no way this could be a save corruption, how can ALL of my save files (10+) get corrupted? Like people said before me in this topic,it's obvious that the game thinks it's missing something. So this should be salvageable.

Over at Kotaku.com, they just received word from Bethesda about the game issues. It looks like they are mainly talking about the head bobbing error but at least we know Bethesda is looking into it.

"Update: Patches are coming. Pete Hines, marketing man at Fallout studio Bethesda Softworks, tells Kotaku that "We are currently working on releasing patches/updates as quickly as possible for Fallout: New Vegas, for all platforms. Announcements regarding the patches are forthcoming." He advises anyone seeing this head-turning bug to re-verify their files on Steam, as the issue is due to a "corrupt mesh file." Also notable: The head-turning bug here was highlighted two days ago in a blog post by one of the game's producers, who identified it as a known bug that was "eradicated" prior to the game's official release."

good to see that at least someone can get a response, but i'd love to have heard about the save bug more than the head turning bug, since one is a game breaker, and the other, at most, is an annoyance.

My thoughts exactly. Hopefully it's going to be all encompassing but who knows. If anyone is home and notices a patch, let us know.

i got 15 hours in and from what i could tell the bug is definetly after you launch the ghouls into space ( or wherever they end up). after i completed this mission i went to the HELIOS place by novac, right past the junkyard where you get the spaceship launch moduel whatevers. there you have to activate the solar panels n get power back to the strip or somewhere else by goin in a pre war bunker and accessing a computer. i saved my games at the helios place, inside the bunker, right after the ghouls launched and an auto-save outside the bunker. i accessed a repair robot that i can only assume was gunna fix a generator to access the computer i needed since my repair was to low to fix the generator myself( robot needed science skill). then i went outside and relized i shouldnt have because i needed to see if the robot worked. when i went back in the robot was like glitched out and stopped working and nothing i could do would fix it, so i tried to reload and thats when i relized every save for the game i had was corrupted and would freeze. i had 1 save that would say the message about the DLC then say the hard drive thingy and send me back to the main menu. after that i called bethesda support and they told me to try removing the DLC (classic pack). after i did that the message started showing up on everything except after i hit continue they all freeze now instead of sending me to the main menu, though i dont get the message anymore about how the save device cant be found or whatever. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, i just wanna play this game worry free already!!

ive tried the cleanup cache thingy or whatever on the hard drive and i deleted the classic pack, dont think theres anything you can do but wait for bethesda/obsidion to fix this (which better be quick style)

We've tried them all. Deleting it, restarting (someone restarted the game last night and got the issue again today), cache, etc. nothing is working.

Wow, Bethesda put out some tips with how to deal with the issues...basically, you're screwed. If you are experiencing the game save issue you just have to revert back to an old save. What if an old save is also corrupted? This game was going to be a candidate for game of the year, but after this fiasco, I'd be surprised if it's even mentioned. Can't believe this has been handled this way.

Gstaff, you probably can not answer this but does your team believe that these game saves can actually be salvaged and playable once again? This is my biggest concern because I've already invested 12 hours into the game and I don't particularly feel like putting more time into the game if this bug causes the game saves to actually corrupt.

I also encountered this bug after the come fly with me quest. A lot of people are suspecting the space suit but I did not pick it up. The main items I picked up in this quest were the bumper sword and the hunting revolver. Other than that I picked up the usual sarsaparilla bottles and what not. Killed all enemies in the facility as many people did and that's it. I'm not sure where the bug occurred myself but its somewhere later in the quest well after you get inside the facility, because I loaded saves a couple times after I entered.

I love this game but it is nothing but a bugfest right now. Almost unplayable with this save glitch. There is no excuse for this.

indeed, i'd like to know this as well, i can accept if the save game isn't salvagable, but if it is, then i won't start playing again until a patch is released, if it isn't then, now knowing that the fly by me mission is likly where it occured, i'll just stear clear of that area until a patch is released

...........Crickets............

Maybe that's it and the rest they are going to charge us in DLC? I'm just extremely aggravated I rearranged my week for this and now it's over and I have nothing to show for it aside from an $80 Subpar Graphic Novel, 30MinDvD, Deck of Cards, Dealers Chip and Enough Poker Chips to play with my 4 year old nephew set.. (Maybe $20 tops at Wally World) It does make a nice coaster though! The sad thing is none of us will get that back in any way shape or form... you guys make great games but I'd rather wait for something great and at the very least playable then have something half finished rushed out to beat the Call of Duty craze. Hopefully next time guys. The Dev's are going to get he rap for this but marketing should've known better...

Game officially comes out in Europe tomorrow.I wonder if the region could make a difference at all.I got mine early and have no problems to report.Reading this thread has put the fear in me though.

I convinced a couple of people to pick up the game, I hope I didnt just hand them a problem for the weekend.:)

I would imagine this issue will be a priority for the team.

This is the worst part of this whole mess. The generic "we're working on the issue" [censored]. How much testing could you guys possibly have done if such an obvious game-breaking bug existed? And the ANNOUNCEMENT of the DATE of the patch is FORTHCOMING. Whatever.

You sold me a $70 mini-Frisbee, and I'm not holding my breath for a fix. Thanks a lot Bethesda.

i noticed on the video that sutcivni posted that he was at REPCONN and he had the bug. from what im able to determine from some of these posts, it has to do with the space suit at repconn. i have yet to go anywhere near repconn. heres hoping nothing happens to my save game. i feel sorry for everyone whos files were corrupted. im playing on 360 and this has yet to happen to me.
