Xbox 360 Title Update? Update?

Xbox 360

We’ve been hard at work investigating the lag issues some players of the Xbox 360 version of Brink have reported. We’ve now completed modifications to improve network performance and will be rolling these out in a title update for the game.

This update has been submitted to Microsoft, and we expect it to be available next week.

Weren't we supposed to receive news of an update this week?
Also, any word of a texture fix?

Congratulations. Aren't you special?
If you don't play on Xbox, then why post on a topic directly related to issues the Xbox is having, just to say you're a PC gamer?

On Topic. I hope something comes out. It'd be nice to play without spasm lag.

It can take quite a while for M$ to approve and up the patch to the network after it's been submitted. It took nearly a month for the Testdrive Unlimited 2 patch and about 3 weeks for the Dragon Age 2 patch to be up on Live after they'd been admitted by the devs.

Technically I don't think they did, they said they'd expect it to be up this week :)

Just saying M$ can be very slow to approve the patch and that it's out of the devs hands now and up to M$. Let's just hope M$ isn't going to take forever this time, I'd like to have the patch ASAP too myself ;)

Normally it takes a week, which is probably why they said within a week. Hasn't bothered me too much as i haven't been playing much. Watching a lot of top gear and researching/ pricing mods for my Supra. friggin love that car.

Really hoping its soon as well but also want it to be right. This is the last chance im giving game with next update to sort lag and they probably know this is true for everyone as well which is why they have to get it right and possibly take there time getting it right. Had probably 3 full 8v8 games on xbox since launch, not good enough even if I love the game.

That is 2 more games than I've had.

I enjoy the game, hoping the TU makes me LOVE the game. Only gonna happen if I can play against full teams/even teams of human players. I don't care about new outfits, new missions would be cool though.

I doubt we will see it this week. I was always guessing it would be next week. From past experiences waiting for a patch to get through MS's certification, it has taken roughly two weeks. I hope it works out so I finish up L.A. Noire right when the patch goes live.

"This update has been submitted to Microsoft, and we expect it to be available next week."

EXPECT is different than PROMISE. Fact is, they submitted the update to XBL 1 week ago and said they expect it to be available next week. So as long as the update hits before Sunday, then their expectations were spot on. Friday is not the last day of the week. The ball is in Microsoft's court now. If they're dragging their feet, that's not really something Splash Damage can control.
