Apparently countless Xbox Live subscribers and PSN users are having a lot of trouble connecting to their system's servers. I myself have also been having a very difficult time connecting, and even if I manage to connect I get booted off. Is anyone else having this problem with either of their consoles?

Late November early December a group whom calls themselves "Lizard Squad" threatened to bring down the servers with a sort of DDOS (distribution denial of Service) attacks. These attacks overload the servers with false or bogus requests. I've been reading online that another hacker group, "The Finest Squad", is trying to offset these attacks by DDoS'ing Lizard's servers to stop these attacks at the source. Lizard Squad has already taken credit and responsibility for the attack. The Xbox forums are blowing up with threads about their system failures. I've tried calling Microsoft about the issue and the first thing you hear is an automated response saying that they're aware of the issue and doing everything they can to repair it. If you google Lizard Squad you'll have access to numerous articles all about this issue.


Now I know nothing of DDoS and any thing of that sort so I know very little of all this and whether to put any believe it in or not. I'm basically posting this to know if any of you have been having trouble or perhaps know more about the subject.

I've been having problems the last few days

I watched Netflix and Amazon movies all day on my Xbox with no problem. I don't have the gold version, just the free, if that makes a difference. Last night though I had a heck of a time with the Ubisoft servers being real slow.
