XBOX One glitch for save menu?

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2016 12:50 am

I noticed that recently my save menu is all messed up, and I'm wondering what's going on. This happened before 1.4 launch -- probably sometime over the last 2 weeks or so.

In a nutshell, the save menu used to put your most recent saved game at the top of the menu. Now, it's randomly listed, so I have to go up and down the menu every time I launch the game to find the most recent game save (otherwise, it starts you at the one at the top of the list, which isn't necessarily your last game save).

Is anyone else having this problem? Any advice on how to correct this? There isn't a settings option that changes the save menu's ordering, I've noticed.

I'm not having save issues. That I noticed. It could be that I'm just slow that way. But after the patch my game was buggy in settlement building mode. It wouldn't let me place a level 3 bar on anything except the pavement. If I put a wood floor or tried the rug glitch it just went through the other item and used the pavement as it's floor. Which means it sinks through my wooden floors.

That was bad enough, but then I auto saved and reloaded and now it won't start up correctly. It plays the music, it lets me pick my game. Then it starts loading only to eventually boot me out. I tried three times to get back in. Then I shut it down and it now just freezes my whole XB1 up.

I restarted and tried other games they are fine. Fallout 4 is currently unplayable for me. I can't even get into the actual game now :nope:.

After reading all the posts I saw your reference to a save. I saw a PS4 person reference corrupt saves. Then I saw someone suggest uninstalling/reinstalling the game. I have a cloud save through XB1. So I risked it. Sweating my characters 108 levels and my other guys to 50. The cloud kept the characters thankfully.

The reinstall did not fix my issue. Same problem.

I took the references to bad saves and my son's suggestion to try loading a different save and boom. I can play again. So I deleted the apparently corrupted save, which stopped me from playing. I only lost about 10 minutes of play through. Though it took like 20 minutes to redownload the almost 28 gigs this game has.

So yeah it seems the new patch is giving PS4 and XB1 corrupt saves for some reason.

Is your time and date set properly?

I don't own an XB1, yet I had a few 360's in the past and they all kept resetting the date and time on power off. Saves are listed by date and time, so for many games I had issues figuring out which was actually the newest. XB1 might have inherited this problem.
