Xbox One Update 325

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 1:24 pm

So, I just fired up my Xbox One and was told that a 468 MB update was required by Fallout 4. It's downloading now, anyone have any idea what is in it?

Nope. Been running 1.4 for a little while now. I was hoping it was a patch containing a fix for eternal corpses.....but no such luck. Deacon is still stinking up Main Street of Sanctuary in his underwear.

Possibly part of the survival overhaul, or just fixes for automatron...

Use the Cannon or a Missile Launcher to blast his body away into the stream (the one you cross to get to Vault 111). That's what I did.

Thanks for asking this, I've been trying to track down info all day. There is no patch note anywhere on Bethesda's site that makes any mention of a new patch.

This is extremely weird and unsettling. I never like being forced to download something when the company won't tell me anything about what it is or what it does. The notes and an announcement should have gone public before the patch did.

I got this too. The only things that I noticed were that I can build an Eyebot scauaging station without freezing my game, and I was given the option to scrap a campfire in a settlement. Don't know if either are relevant.

Here's a link if needed.....

Corpses of essential characters, like Companions and such, don't disappear.

Only random NPCs do.

I'd like to see numbers on game companies servers being hacked vs game companies pushing an update before releasing patch notes. Less than 1% I'd bet. Take off the tin foil hat

It did not fix anything. It only added a text popup informing you that you have to restart the game after downloading the DLC.

That's the second time you claimed the patch fixed something. Do you have any basis for that claim? Because according to Bethesda, it did not.

Being concerned about an unexplained download that was not announced by the company is not complaining, it's just good common sense. After being directly asked, Bethesda answered and explained what the patch was. Their error was in not announcing it or including an update in the patch notes. I suspect they will correct this error over the next few days, and will be unlikely to rollout another update without announcing it.

Could start with Microsoft , and EA for servers hacked. The other metric? Said companies often deny until they have to.

Just stating that it is not beyond the realms of possibility.

It is possible to be civil while discussing this.

Asking for an explanation for a forced download is not engaging in conspiracy theories. People are discussing the latest patch for very obvious reasons, and it's a bit baffling that you don't appear to be able to understand why.
