xbox predownload time?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 8:21 am

they announced that predownloads will be available "a few days before release" but does anyone have a specific time of when it'll be available (yes I have less than stellar internet so it takes me a while to download large files)

Mine started today, though it was interrupted twice now.

Microsoft's 350,000 servers and not a single one can download a freaking game without stalling or use more than 9600 baud.

You might be able to download it right now. Mine downloaded a few days ago. 28.1 gigs.

when I preordered I had around a 100mb download but I figured that was just the confirmation (unless they got outstanding at file compression)

Just turned my xbox one on for the first time in a week (been playing fallout 3 on the 360) And i just started to re-install my preorder and its going slow! which is good, i think lol its looking like a normal install now. Up to 40%. Where before, it did the 100% in less then 30 seconds. So hopefully this is the actual game and I'll be ready to play at 12:01 am on the 10th. Also noticed my % usage of harddrive went up 7% since the last time I looked at the xbox one. So it must be doing something right.

I purchased Saturday before I went to bed. It started downloading immediately and took about 8 hours.

I bought the game on Monday and it started downloading the game at that time. It was taking quite some time but it was done on Tuesday. I did not have the console on the whole time.

8th, not 9th......two full days is more than enough. I finally got around to downloading the 17GB patch for the Witcher 3 and it took me about three and a half hours so Fallout 4 with its 28-35GB download should be a painless 5 to 7 hours for me. Even with a slow connection you shouldn't need more than 24 hours and we're given 48 hours head start so there should be no issues getting it ready pre-launch.

Yes....my preorder said estimated 8th and the screenshots from others I've seen said 8th.....I'm in the US though so my preorder is already paid in full as my PSN wallet was charged at the time I placed the preorder.....my understanding is that Europe(or at least some parts of it) do not charge the PSN wallet until very near release or at release so if that's the case for you they wouldn't let you download until your payment was collected and they may not do that until very close to release. Are you in Europe, has your PSN wallet been charged for the Fallout 4 preorder yet?
