i wonder why the patch works for some people and not others... are 360 people having these issues? or is it ps3, and or pc people?

Ok so my level 5 char works after the message but my main is stuffed and im really upset starting a new game works fine which doesnt make me happy in the least so all in all im very unhappy

I think i'm going to download it and test my luck.

it's gotta be something that can be fixed, i would think, because it does work for some people.(not to rub it in) i wonder if it has something to do with lisensing..? there is a way to re-download the linsenses. YOU CAN ONLY DO IT ONCE A YEAR. i had to do it for all dlc when i switched to a 360 slim hdd.

is that before youve done the quest or after youve done it cause i think it matters only with saves youve done DM already

haven't done DM yet. Loading is a LOT smoother.

that message of my stuff might not being there came out but everything is there it's just bethesda pulling your leg people. come on you've heard of people being diks before havent you?

I think this is a problem for post DM saves anything before or during DM could still be fine but yeah still not happy if i lose my main.

No problems.. just got the message saying items were missing.. Maybe some item i.d.'s have changed or something? U.S. midwest here. (maybe also posting where you are in the world would help figure out if it's a local thing that breaks the game or something?)
Would also like to point out that both saves are after the character had been through Dead Money.. so.. I have the hollow rifle and all that. Also both saves have the Classic Pack installed. (vault 13 jumpsuit, weathered 10mm, vault 13 canteen.) Neither character is wearing or using these items but they are back in storage.

Anyway... My plan if it did fail and the load froze was to uninstall the patch,, drop all the gear I was wearing and then reload the patch and see if it had something to do with what I was equipped with. So some might try that. Might be something as simple as one item that your carrying is causing the load to freeze.

i finished DM on my old 360. re-dwnloaded license on the new xbox, after finishing quest on old xbox.

Downloaded the patch, said that some of my items could not be found or something like that.
Got my stuff from Dead Money so it might be my pre order pack. (Lightweight Metal Armor, Grenade Rifle.)

Loaded another file, it still has the Mercenary Grenade Rifle so the pack is still there.
So DM's stuff didn't disappear.
The caravan pack didn't disappear.
And the saves work.

My game isnt working at all... I want a refund...

I also have the Merc Pack (that's the one that has the gear you mentioned). I have four characters that I completed Dead Money with... all broken (levels 30-35); five other characters with which I have not traveled to SM... all broken (those are various levels of xp in multiple saves... everything from level 5 to level 23).

I did find ONE of my save files that was from just before I left the limits of Goodsprings (six or so steps from the prompt to rebuild my character) and that one loads up fine after the message.

75 save slots. 10 hours of my life [censored] with them. And I find ONE that works. One out of 75 ain't bad. I guess.

So, return the game. Nobody's stopping you.

Not sure what the deal with this is. But I got this from gamefly so no pre order pack was ever in my game and I haven't gotten DM. I still get the this save depends on DLC no longer available. This is on everyone of my saves not just the most recent. I guess from now on I have to visit forums before downloading any game patches.

Sounds like a great idea but no i want my 60 bucks for the game, 5 for the pre order and, 10 for the add on...

Funny, I got all excited about how 360 was finally getting patch, because that should mean DLC gets released soon, then downloaded it, and every file no work. They should either fix this, or pay us minimum wage for all the hours we wasted in this game that no longer works. I imagine they will just fix it. Could someone tell me which company I'm supposed to be mad at, Obsidian or Bethesda? I don't know who's in charge of the patching. But whoever did, they better make it up to us. As in fix and release Honest Hearts. Like...tomorrow.

Didn't they say they weren't gonna release another buggy DLC, and were testing this stuff thoroughly. Yeah, I can see that, it's evidenced by the patch that destroys everyone's game. Nice job. You're living up to your promise. Thumbs up and flips off.

No ones stopping you, go to gamestop and get $5 for it. You don't deserve it anyways.
