He's talking lore wise IMO he's not saying yes or no just sounds like speculation to me.

Pure speculation, that quote confirms nothing.
This forum thrives on speculation.

Who says they are confirmed? Xbox World is known for exaggerated claims.

Wut? REAAAALLY?

"Werewolves are in!"
"jk, it was an exxageration. they aren't in."
Wtf? I doubt that. It's only logical. Skyrim is the home of the Lycanthropes. Look at the Skyrim wiki, under Geography. It says so.
How do you think they got to Solsthiem and not Morrowind? Obvously, they can from the other direction, Skyrim. It's the perfect province for them, as in climate and landscape.

You seem pretty sure

call me a skeptic but i wish i had the confidence youve got

If they are in great it does fit very well but if they couldnt figure out the right way to balance it no big deal this game is about being a dragon born not a werewolf

And dragon born comes with only buffs no negitives besides the fact your the only one who can fight dragons

Thank you, I AM confident in this.

Therein lies the cons. Pros, you looks awesome, and get stat buffs.

Cons:
You can't be around people at night, or they'll see you turn. (Nor at dawn, for that matter)
You can wield weapons, lessening your chance to level up skills you desire, and eliminating long-range combat as an option.
You would be insane to try and fight a dragon like this.

Does it not seem balanced? In fact, there are more cons than pros, showing only those who really WANT to be a Lycan as the dedicated ones.

Yah ive thought about that stuff alot no wepons cant be around people when the change comes

But i would like a blood rage mabye triggered randomly or if you want by eating alot of raw meat

This rage would make it so you cant control yourself

So you seek out or hunt the closest living thing and then try to eat it

It could be triggered by the moon or just nightfall or mabye you have to transform so many times in a day or else you loose control
Ive gotten these ideas from this forum

If you look, the Skyrim wiki has more on Skyrim than UESP does at the moment.... Also, thinking logically, the names are blatent. SKYRIM WIKI. Trust me, I love UESP a lot, but I'm going with the prior on this one.

Interesting..... But I don't think it'll fit, since, with TES, the player is always in control. It's like an AI takes over and tries to eat something? That's wierd, since you'll probably die by entering town, trying to eat some maiden, and guards will destroy you.....

So, although thought provoking, I don't think it's right for Skyrim. :/

Not disregarding your argument, because I am an avid werewolf fan myself, but I also don't share your confidence in this quote. It's sketchy at best. We need Pete Hines to tweet back to know if it was really true, whatever the quote actually means, and most of us are expecting a rehashed "no comment" from him anyway.

In the chance that you are incorrect, which I hope you are not, I will be sending http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JVQwti0zlg just to let you know that we told you so. You have been warned!

I posted it before but this is the same magazine who said on it's cover 'GTA V' something with unveiled or first look, or...is coming. Something along those lines. Turns out it was just in the rumour section and nothing more. I wouldn't really care much for this, guys. We'll just have to wait and see..no doubt Pete will again say 'no comment' and if thats the case, it definitely means it's suspicious. Cause if they were not in it..wouldn't he just say so?

I see your point how it could be game breaking at some points but i thought that was kinda the challenge you know youve gatta change so you best get away from people or else your cover is blown

Also i would think that this would come with a huge buff to your stats so if there was a way to trigger the change it would come in handy i guess you just better be alone or eat the witness

It's a matter of the evidence, and having faith in Bethesda not to screw us over with the most obvious of things to be in Skyrim. BESIDES the developers shy'ing away from the question, like they have something to be excited about.

I have been warned.

They could just be excited to see the disappointment and disgust on our faces when we finally find out that werewolves will not be in the game, or worse if werewolves are in the game but are not playable, as they know we'll buy the game anyway. That's definitely something to be excited about! XD

And yes, you have been warned. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JVQwti0zlg!!

From what the statement says:

"And in a promising twist Skyrim is home to werewolves as well as vampires-we are fully expecting the lycanthropy disease to make its long awaited return to the series"
It sounds like they have seen that werewolves are in the game as an enemy (does anyone know if this magazine had a hands on at gamescom etc) but are unsure about actually being one at this stage i.e. whether the lycanthropy disease is in the game.

As for what the lore says on UESP or Skyrim Wiki, well it is irrelivent. According to the lore Cyrodiil should have had werewolves, werebears and werelions........ it had NONE of them. Lore means jack until it is confirmed by a developer....... I am optimistic though.

I also think werewolves will be in the game because in the past Pete Hines has not been to secret to confirm when things aren't in the game (remember that radio interview) so the fact they are leaving it open to speculation to me says they are either in the final game or as part of a planned dlc. I know Bethesda say they have no plans yet, but I don't believe that for a second. I don't think they have started developing any of it yet but I do think they have a rough idea what they are doing.

You know... I've thought about it. I'd rather find out that there are werewolves by walking through a forest at night, being stalked by the shadows.

Don't see this as evidence at all. What I do see as evidence is their inability to confirm that they aren't in, mostly likely through dlc. It's either that or a horrible marketing ploy.

Anyone think people could mistake the new trolls for werewolves?
