Xbox360 Pad Problems

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 1:58 am

I've just invested in a new Microsoft Xbox 360 wired joypad to play Fallout 3 Game of the year edition on my PC.

The game runs fine and can be played on keyboard and mouse. The game allows me to change the settings for the joypad and appears to recognise it as does every other piece of software I have used to test the joypad. However I have the following problems:

1: In game the joypad controls are unresponsive, they do not allow me to control the game.

2: The game 'forgets' which changes I have made to the control settings.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the drivers and the game as well as swapping USB ports but nothing changes. Uninstalling the joypad drivers makes the options for changing the joypad controls dissapear so I know that the game is recognising that I have a joypad.

Please help.

Thanks.

Reinstalled Windows and the game. All works fine now.

My guess is that it didn't like my old joypad drivers.
