" 12% save on mana with illusion spells"
Probably the biggest piece of new info in there, at least for me!
Looks like some gear will lower the mana cost for some spells, which is damn awesome.

EDIT : "We were offered a quest to join the Imperial Legion here though, so it’s not all doom and gloom."
Joining the Legion is confirmed as well, if it wasn't already.

Very interesting - thanks for the link! :foodndrink:

"Even after contributing to the locale’s economy by doing a spot of milling – basically just a series of button clicks at various places on the wood mill – the locals looked down on our reptilian warrior and treated him as an outsider."

Do you reckon that was because he was an Argonian, or do you think that's just the standard disposition for that town towards the PC - or at least until s/he does something a bit more substantial? I quite like the idea of small towns being prejudiced (although I don't even know if Falkreath is just a town, sorry).

"Thankfully, because Skyrim is such a large location, Bethesda has rather neatly added “Cleared” tags to all locations you’ve visited in Skyrim that you’ve completely rinsed, something that also allows you to see whether you’ve got all that you really need from said location."

I think this is a good touch. I did this in Morrowind by adding an "Emptied" marker next to dungeons I had explored. If it's something that messes with immersion, just pretend your character is literate and made the note him/herself.

Also, confirmed that there actually is a shortage of arrows, unlike what Todd carried during the demo.

Nice find OP. Quality.

Though I am concerned about the "Cleared" status to the dungeons. Do they respawn after the requisite 3 days game-time? Or do they stay "Cleared"?

That is an important piece of info to have.

Great find, Fortis.

Brand new information for myself and it was nice to finally read an article where the reviewers had done something original, instead of the usual find monster, kill monster thing.

EDIT: And regarding the dungeon-respawn thing, I will highly expect them to respawn within 3 days or however long, I'm guess the "CLEARED" tag is just so you know you've got everything from that place until the next respawn.

I hope that the wolves dont always attack you. It seems like the people playing these demos just get swarmed by wolves...

Ahaa nice read, i too cannot wait to explore the Big Fu**off Mountain! :teehee:
Iron Armour of Minor Illusion, which grants the wearer a 12% save on mana with illusion spells and stands out in the inventory screen with its blue glow.

Good find, some new nuggets of info.

"Animal Allegiance Dragon Shout which you can use to summon “beasts of the wild” to assist you in battles"

well I think Bosmer being the only way of controlling animals is out...

"Incidentally though, it took us an hour and 20 minutes to get about a tenth of the way to Solitude and Markarth"

I think this just erased any doubts whatsoever about world size.

edit: finally a preview where the person playing didn't mindlessly attack townsfolk for 30 minutes

Easily my favourite hands-on preview so far. They did different things to all the others and made use of their time.

"It took an hour and 20 minutes to travel a tenth of the way to Solitude" that's one heck of a big game world. :D :D :D :D :D

There's one small problem, the previewer was exploring dungeons which cut down on exploration time.
