I expected as much. Crytek have only themselves to blame. Now I am thinking I might not ever get the DLC because there won't ever be enough players to justify having it. :/

wow, for as good (and as new) as this game is, I expected it to be up there in the list.

C'mon Crytek! just a couple of fixes and I'm sure C2 would have a lasting following on XBL!

I don't think Crytek cares how far down the list the game goes judging by their support of the game.

The no one online this is a bit of an exaggeration. Sure there aren't enough people to crack the top 20 but I've never had trouble finding a game. Don't let this alone be the reason you quit playing, cause there still are plenty of people online playing.

I won't ever stop playing Crysis 2. It has a permanent spot in my game collection of over 30 XBox 360 games. It's just now I am having second thoughts about ever buying the DLC though.

...with DLC in a few days...Crytek is packed and off, damn. Uhh the last few nights, games are filling less and less.

LA Noire next week and I am set, oh well.

LIVE Activity for week of April 11 (Old List)

Xbox 360 Top LIVE Titles (based on UU’s)
1 Call of Duty: Black Ops
2 Modern Warfare 2
3 Halo: Reach
4 FIFA Soccer 11
5 NBA 2K11
6 GTA IV
7 Battlefield: Bad Co. 2
8 Gears of War 2
9 Call of Duty 4
10 Call of Duty: WaW
11 Red Dead Redemption
12 Halo 3
13 Crysis 2
14 NHL 11
15 Homefront
16 Forza Motorsport 3
17 Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
18 Madden NFL 11
19 Fallout: New Vegas
20 Left 4 Dead 2

Crysis 2 came out March 22, 2011, it only got an up tick players up to the time he reported this on April 11. It was on its way off the list in the weeks of debut. Homefront lost its steam too.

I'm finding it takes longer to get into matches now...picked up 'BRINK' last night to take a break from Crysis2...aside from the horrendous lag, I'm having a blast with 'BRINK'...It's different and has a steeper learning curve than C2...and teamwork is a must..... 2/5 games have lag most of the time.

Once the DLC comes out next week i'll pop Crysis2 in again. I'll be juggling Crysis2/BRINK/LA:Noire for the next couple months...I'm set.

I'm usually catching full games in Crysis2 around 8-11 pm est. every night.

Exactly,

Do not pay these mercenaries anymore cash until they patch this game. Boycott the DLC until they fix the many issues. It won't make any difference to wait a little while as the proof is in the pudding, there won't be enough people to play the new maps more than once in a blue moon.

Crysis 2 is in a bad way because Crytek run a Forum like 10 year olds and they still cannot fix the day 1 issues.

My TV broke one week ago and I just got a new one yesterday and I could really tell a difference in playeractivity, I got into games ofc but they were never full.. :( And all of my friends on live quit Crysis exept 1 which svcks because in most games there's always a party playing against you.

Well, party is not THAT overpowered nor unfair it's just that noone is playing solo-type games either.

And according to that list GTA IV is on number 6 and that must be some kind of error.. is it just vanilla or does it include TBoGT and TLAD? I only find games with 2-5 players, sometimes I'm lucky and find a somewhat full game but then half of the players cheat. :P

Also, I think I'll wait with the DLC untill pricedrop or when Crytek finally realizes that it should be free.. and as someone else said in here it's not gonna be worth getting DLC because noone will play the game then.

well i was perty dead set on getting the DLC but seeing the list here, who am i gonna play them with? Word must be getting around about no fixes in the near future or something. However i wont give up so easily on crysis or crytek because of this list, i have full faith itll be resolved some day and this game can be the master piece it truly can become. It makes me wonder though if the delay was because they had to finish off the DLC? Maybe now that it is done a full team can focus more on these fixes and patches.

I thought I read somewhere that Crytek are in the process of relocating their studio...can anyone confirm this?

This would explain why support has been lacking.

Crytek UK is responsible for the MP, Crytek Frankfurt developed the SP. The team developing the Kingdoms game for MSFT, Crytek Budapest, is being restructured for mobile and the remaining development of Kingdoms is moving to the Frankfurt team. I guess its possible this could disrupt timely updates but not likely.

It just doesn't make sense to me. Why would Crytek go to the trouble of having a publishing arrangement that allowed them to retain the IP rights to the Crysis franchise only to murder the MP community. The SP was good but the main draw for me was the MP and when it woks its sublime.

And you know, even though Crysis 2 dropped off the XBL Top 20, it was still #6 in sales on the NPD for the month of April

The fact that it was #6 in sales for april and can't even make it in the top 20 for activity during the first week of may just shows how terribly fast people throw this game in the garbage.

I sold my copy a few weeks ago and haven't looked back.

It's so, so, so, so, sad. Crysis IS a fun game (if you're host for instance). But due to lag and lack of support it's on life support right now.

No, there will be no DLC download for me. I'm hoping Crytek gets their German poop in a pile and will resurrect this title because I really enjoy many of its elements. However, if I can't play smoothly AT LEAST every other game, then I'll spend my time and money elsewhere.
