Uh, no. At first I though we were talking about the guy that was sitting down. Yeah, the guy standing up is obviously black. I just didn't know who we were talking about at first.

A very light black(brown), but yeah hes black.

He seems obviously white to me. Note the facial features, and swept back blonde hair. Pete Hines makes mistakes.

Every human's skin is a different shade of brown.

Remember that Pete has also called the Markarth city shot a Dwemer dungeon. He's not infallible. He could even be repeating the same mistake as many other people here (after all, there is enough ambiguity that we're able to have this discussion at all!); if he's not in fact talking about the obscure guy with his back to the camera.

His skin is obviously darker than the other people in the room. Nords have lighter skin compared to imperials, not darker. His skin appears to be the darkest in the room. And his ears aren't elven, so it makes sense for him to be a Redguard.

Edit: I don't know why I said lighter.

He is tan, yes. I'm guessing not every Nord will have the same skin tone. I believe he also has blonde hair, a very uncommon feature for black people (inb4 this isn't earth lul).

No but really, this discussion is going no where. Some people are seeing a Nord without a doubt and others are seeing a Redguard. I don't think there's much room for convincing anyone otherwise because we see what we see.

I'm gonna have to go with the folks saying Nord on this... even though I think it's a ridiculous waste of time to argue over a picture which obviously they have no real importance in. Quite literally, the focal point of the entire scene is the Nordic barmaid, whom I might add they even went so far as to center all the primary lighting of the scene on.

Now, I'm not entirely certain just by looking at it, but I'd put my money on the guy behind the bar being a Nord with tanned/darker skin.

His facial structure is Nordic, he's too tall for a Redguard, and he's got just enough light falling on him to show that his skin isn't the same BROWN tone as a Redguard's is. It's tanned... but it's not obviously brown. He's standing in shadow.

Hes being lit from behind, I think that might be making him look darker. hes casting a shadow near where his hands are

Hey, you're right... he -is- being lit from behind. The shadows from his hands and arms are stretched out across the bar. I had to go back and look again, too. Wonder how I didn't notice that.

It's pretty obvious he has dark skin, look at the woman to the right sweeping the floor, she is receiving almost the exact same amount of light; now compare the two. Nords have light hair, and skin, and this guy has neither.

Until proven otherwise, I consider everyone in this forum legally blind.

No they're not. Of course there's only one bench, and so I'm assuming you're talking about the stools, or the tables, either way.
