I think it should automatically happen if you're absolutely kicking some guy's ass and have all the momentum.

What's with all these random polls from you RAF? You sure know how to keep the forums alive ;)

Obviously yes, but the hardcoe DnD players will probably vote no. No suprise there.

I am realy hopeing the stealth take downs will be cool. As a sneaky player, I would realy enjoy that when I have to put my bow away and move in for some cqc

Although my first character is always a sword & shield Nord or Imperial (very much like the one in the trailer), I always play a stealthy Argonian or Khajiit next. I'm very interested to see how assassinations will be handled.

I am absolutely thrilled at the idea of finishing moves. Finishing moves in Dragon Age: Origins were okay, but I think the finishing moves in Skyrim will be fantastic, especially in first person.

I think finishing moves will be pretty cool. (Judging from the trailer) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjqsYzBrP-M#t=01m32s
I'm curious if there will be any finishing moves with bows.

depends on waht you mean by finishing moves?

mean like FINISH HIM!!! fatality finishing move ala Mortal Kombat fame, than not only no but Oblivion no.

mean like a critical hit finishing move, than its iffy and most get boring quickly not to mention cheasey.

Sounds repetitive and annoying.
Forced animations for something that I'm going to do a lot?
*remembers RDR*
[censored] no, sounds horrid.

I generally find them to be 'kind of dumb and gimmicky'.

I'm a little weary about it only because I want to know what the trigger rate is. I do like having them otherwise though. Adds a little pizazz if you will.

i was sorta hoping they would put more effort into physics, graphics, voices, weapons, ranged weapons, and pets.... rather than some aesthetically pleasing time consuming idea... think of how much time goes into brainstoriming finish moves, eliminating the bad ideas to make room for good ones and then designing them into the game. they could have at least put spears or crossbows in. the finishing moves target the casual gamer in my opinion. the guy that will watch a movie if it's "cool", go to a party if it's "cool" or play a game if it has badA finishing moves.

I think it doesn't belong. It will get old fast, more than likely, and I will loose control of my character. When swinging my sword I can still dodge and move, but if an animation plays I'll have no control. I'd hate it if t was cinematic too, with the camera moving around etc.

Plus what's stopping enemies from hitting me when Ive lost control of my pc and killing their buddy? Will they hold on for me? Unless they slow down time, or only allow them to happen on the last enemy, that will be a problem.

Btw, The witcher 2 has finishers, they are cinematic, you have no control over Geralt, and I hate them. Atleast I can choose when to do them, which is never.
