Yay or nay: Pip-boy playlists

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 6:47 pm

So I had this idea that probably didn't make it in the game, but could be done with a mod or an update feature. What if we could find music-tapes that would be uploaded to the Pip-Boy when we pick them up, and then you could make your own playlists with the songs you find and play your favorite music from the game whenever you like, instead of waiting for it on the radio stations.

Thoughts?

I believe pete hines said something about making radios/juke boxes for your settlement that you can have certain songs play at certain times. So I guess it's not much of a stretch to bring something similar to the pipboy.

I like the idea! Provided they give us a big enough selection of course.

What I want to see are GTA-style user-defined radio stations where we can put our own music into a radio station. It would be better in the base game than in mods, since I doubt console modders could incorporate any way for people to upload their songs onto the console and have the game access them.

On the ps4, I believe you can play your music in the background anyway. I can listen to my music anytime, I listen to the radio in fallout because it adds to the atmosphere for me.

I want this in my wigwam Pip-Boy. I also want at least 50 songs per station. I know this seems like a tall order, but Mojave Music Radio had 15 and it seemed like the same 3 played over and over.

So true. And a lot of songs in New Vegas were just slow and depressing like Johnny Guitar, Mad about the Boy, or Shadow in the Valley.

Console players will just have to accept that they will never be able to have the same level of mod customization that PC players have. Unless MS/Sony actually allow the script extenders on consoles, and even if that happens, the lack of extra control inputs means things will never be as smooth for console players. Look how many mods for FNV add new hotkeys and other button controls.

We can play videogames on our pip boy while playing a video game so the technology for a playlist has to be there lol.

This would be awesome! I'd much prefer to find tapes in-game than load a playlist in a music folder to be played in-game. True little gem to find a good recording =)
